Vinted problem
we had the incorrect parcels in the lock up box which we were advised our parcels were in. We have contacted Vinted and sent pictures of the packages all wrapped up. They have said open them but I feel this is breaking the law under Section 84 of the Postal Services Act 2000.
Do you feel I am doing the right thing?
Tvm in advance.

I’d open it if it would help to sort out the issue.
It’s not illegal if you have a reasonable excuse and you’re not going do anything detrimental with it.

Are you sure the seller hasn't mixed your parcel up with someone else's?
What does the seller say?
Has anyone spoken to the courier?
Who is…?

We have contacted Vinted but they don’t have any phone numbers to speak to someone . There are two parcel each to different addresses.
we are not far from the place where the delivery driver was caught throwing packages about so not certain if there is a connection. Not my parcel/name/address so think they have the real problem.0 -
I guess that they want to check whether it's the right contents in the wrong packaging - that would be odd because I think it would entail the right QR code with wrong address.
Never-the-less, open the parcels as instructed.Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️, DH: 🏅🏅⭐️, DD1: 🏅 and one for Mum: 🏅0
