Child Winter Heating Payment disregarded as capital for UC purposes?
Hello all,
I would greatly appreciate other's opinion on this. I am fairly certain on my reading of the Child Winter Heating Payments are disregarded as capital for Universal Credit purposes for 52 weeks, unless we spend them is that correct? So we wont be deducted £4.35 per month for every £250 (or part of £250) of countable capital above £6,000 (but below 16k) under Universal Credit.
Thanks all in advance.
PS this is Scotland. And the 52 weeks is mentioned in the link below.

According to ADM Chapter H2, that's correct.
"Winter Heating Assistance payments
H2175 The Scottish Government introduced Winter Heating Assistance as support for fuel bills for people in prescribed circumstances¹. Winter Heating Assistance includes
1. Child Winter Heating Assistance
2. Winter Heating Payment and
3. Pension Age Winter Heating Payment.
Payments of any of the above made within the last 52 weeks are disregarded² with effect from 9.11.20."
