So I wonder how MG comply with the requirement to honour warranties provided that the car has been serviced correctly if the work wasn't carried out by an MG dealer? I know Mazda have the same system such that there is no paper service book, but ANY dealer selling the car would have obtained the service history OR made it clear that they hadn't done so and that it was for the buyer to do this.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -
If the car is six years old or more, the servicing may be out of kilter anyway. When I bought my used car at the end of 2020 the previous service had been done 3 months late (due to covid) but the car dealer provided a letter from Peugeot saying that it wouldn't affect the warranty. I did subsequently claim off the warranty a couple of years later and had no issues.
