Find the owner
Hi apolagies first of for the spelling and grammer I have dyslexia but will try my best.
I bought a car in March and have taken them to court and won but they will not pay and last time I phones they swore at me and threatened to hurt me. I am wanting to get a high cort writ of control but I have found out that as it's not a limeted company I cannot get one as it has to be issued for a limeted company or the owner eg John Smith, dose anyone know how I could find out either the ower or the company that own them. I have looked at the V5 and looked on the land rejestry and and am still no closer.

Who did you buy the car from? Do they have a website?
You say you won in court already, who was that case against?

It's was HS Motors in heckmondwike, unfortunely no website there just on auto trader and the defendent was the company as I didn't have a name to give so I put the bussiness down.

Basically your previous 'win' at court is now worthless and you need to start again. However there is no easy way to identify the owner of a non Ltd company that your claim needs to be against.
Even if you do win then there is no guarantee you will ever see any money so think carefully before spending anymore on new court action, especially with the threats of violence.

OP has left a 1 star review on their Autotrader page

OP, did you actually "win", or did you just get a judgement by default because nobody turned up to defend it? Going to suspect its the latter and a) you have sued the wrong entity, and/or b) the entity you have sued now no longer exists.

II assume that you now have a ccj against 'HS Motors'. Getting the ccj is the easy part. Enforcing it is more difficult.
Have you discussed this with a High Court Enforcement team of your own choosing? Did they advise you that there was no organization by that name?
It does not have to be a limited company but a bailiff can only seize assets that belong to the judgement debtor, which is where I guess the problem is.
IIf it's possible to enforce, a HCEO will help you to do this, as they collect their fees. from the debtor. Unfortunately this is much less successful than the tv programmes would have you believe

If a) or b) is correct then part of the review I referred to above is potentially libellous and should be amended/removed
