Specifics of times missing from fine.

Afternoon all.

A long going claim is rumbling on, 2 fines from ukpc are currently with DB legal, had letter of claim and responded with template letter on here today, got a reply.

The evidence you have provided shows that the arrival and departure times recorded on your booking differ from the entry and exit times captured by the ANPR cameras. The attached images clearly demonstrate this discrepancy and therefore do not substantiate your claim that the vehicle's presence on site was covered for the entire duration of stay.

So i sent copys of receipt, that show i paid from 16.06 to 16.30 on said date. I can't find the origional first letter that I'm sure showed pncr entry and exit, however have the second claim letter (£170) which states:

Vehicle on site in excess of paid for time/parked without making a valid payment. Car park name ,date, at 16.24.50.

This letter says nothing about the pncr arrival time.

As letters progress they stop listing times, as such I can't find the disputed arrival time.

Reading the above am I right to assume what's disputed is the 16.24. As thats what's on the escalated letter?

And if so, what the hell are DB legal playing at?

Thanks

Actually found 3rd letter from zzps which states, contravention date 00 March 2026 16.24

So surely thus is what's in dispute?

    These are not fines.

I don't quite understand the timeline:

    • what time did you drive in?
    • what time did you pay, and how long for?
    • what time did you drive out?

I cant find the drive in time stated on the letter, as Its only on the intial fine paperwork.

I paid 16.06 to 16.30 with receipt clearly showing this

On the second, escalated letter, it states:

Vehicle on site in excess of paid for time/parked without making a valid payment. Car park name ********* 00 march 2026 at 16.24.50

    And on 3rd escalated letter.

    contravention date 00 March 2026 16.24

My question is, is it the specific time stated in the escalated letters, ie 16.24 thats in dispute?

As Non of the subsequent letters state arrival time.

It'll be that you arrived at 3.45 or thereabouts. You can ask for a copy of both of the NTKs.

But you'll never have to pay this, so what's the worry?

Not so much worry as they are absolute parasites , and it only takes a missing letter and there's a ccj on file.

My daughter's had 7 this year, all in the same park, 5 of which I appealed on time and git the letter of no further action, these 2 I was too late.

All correspondence after initial letter is focusing on exit time, so surely this is the dispute?

The dispute appears to be insufficient paid time, which they calculated from entry to exit, recorded by ANPR cameras

I dont know of any car park where you pay by the minute , usually in half hours and hours , so as coupon mad said, if entry was 15.45 and half an hour was paid for, they would be saying insufficient paid time, regardless of the time on the receipt

Definitely weren't fines, merely invoices for the alleged breach of the parking contract on that private property
