Can I get Apple TV perk with Barclays 0% interest credit card?

Next month, I am planning large purchase (£6K). I usually put things like this on a 0% interest credit card, pay it off over 12 months, then close the card.

In the MSE newsletter there was an offer for 12 months free Apple TV with a Barclaycard balance transfer credit card- is there a way to get this perk with the 0% interest CC as well (I don't need the balance transfer as credit cards all paid off).

Thanks for the help

glad you asked this - in same boat - was thinking to possibly just make a couple smal purchases on the new card (paying them off same month of course) so it appears ‘active’

You could purchase it on the 0% interest card and transfer some of the balance over and just pay them both off over the period?

Their offer is for the BT card not the 0% purchase card so no you can't get it on that

I guess this would mean applying for 2 credit cards in a short space of time though.... Maybe I'll apply for the 0% interest one first, and if that's fine I'll try for the other one. I hadn't thought of just transferring a small amount of balance over- the charge for transferring the whole balance would be £180 so not worth it.

two alone with no other searches for some time isn't likely to be major unless you need a mortgage or something soon, I assumed you already had the 0% purchase card

You'd also need to factor in the chance of getting the purchase card + a BT card with the limits

£4k in a Santander Edge account with linked 6% saver is £240 interest + whatever you can get for the rest of the money and pay the minimum but it's your money and time of course if you wanted to do that
