Advice on a new Tumble Dryer

Hi,

Our current Candy tumble dryer has given up the ghost.

Looking for a replacement with a budget up to £350.

The main thing we use the tumble dryer for is bath towels and bedding, everything else dry's on an Airer.

With us speed is more important than eco so looking for something that would dry 4 bath towels in under an hour if possible (we always double spin the towels in the washer)

Most of the current type of dryers seem to take such a long time to dry a load (which is fair enough as they need to be ECO friendly) but we need one that can dry quickly.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Any condenser - avoid heat pump if speed is an issue. Our Bosch condenser will do a full load in 45-60 minutes.

  • Hi

Ours is working but the heater I think its called that you pull out and clean every so often is hard to get out and near immposible to push back in - so we have been thinking of changing it for a couple of years—it's 5 years old now - we've always had a condenser dryer—do not get heat pump rubbish

Go for front loading with glass door as things can get tangled, so you can see that and untangle them for a proper, quicker drying - get the largest drum/load management you can as more space equates to better drying and less creasing.

So - largest capacity one for the home use and reverse tumble, front-loading with glass type door or whatever its made of and a condenser dryer.

The lower range brands from what I've seen on YT are bascially the same, just different company names.
