LLoyds Ultra1% cashback coming to an end.
The Lloyds Ultra credit card has been great but the 1% cashback drops to 0.25% after a year.
Also great for using abroad.
If I cancel the card would they let me take out a new card at 1% cashback straight away or would I have to wait?
If so how long? Any one tried this?

Maybe this could have been asked on the existing thread?
Over there people with Lloyds Premier Banking have reported being offered a year's extension on the 1% rate.
Not seen any reports of polite requests to Lloyds being favourably answered, nor have I seen any results of cancellation / reapplication being successful.

Lloyds are unlikely to tell you, at least formally/in writing. It would probably be best to leave it 3 months and try an eligibility checker from Lloyds which might give you the answer if they auto decline
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
