Hi everyone,
Well, yesterday was a day, we certainly weren't expecting that out come. He's been having occasional discomfort usually after carrying heavy things but nothing too bad. If he has the pain for longer than fifteen minutes we've got to go to A and E. Hopefully he'll take it more seriously now, I kept telling him to stop doing things when he got the pain and he'd ignore me. It's just frustrating to wait, we just want to get on with things but we can't.
Anyway we've got quite a lot coming up. Both Esther and Esben have birthdays next month and the whole family is going to Center Parcs again in early December. We also want to get up to Yorkshire soonish.
I'm glad you're getting sorted Gers. I'm still a bit on the fence about air fryers, we got a combined microwave/air fryer but I don't use it too much.
I hope all the poorly people are doing as well as can be expected.
Have a good day.

Morning All
Wet but a bit muggy this morning.
Coxy hope all goes well at the dentist.
DP1 glad DDad is on his way home, hope DM OK.
Gers glad you are pleased with your AF, hope memories of your two late L's are good ones today.
Sue well done on your "rubbery chicken". We got a bargain a few weeks back with 2 chicken crowns, very tasty and handy for lots of different meals.
Izzy hope your visit with your lady goes ok. She may want company as much as anything.
I am feeling upset with myself. I had a friend round last night and whilst we were talking My arm twitched and I spilt red wine over my sofa arm and cushion. I covered it with salt and tried dabbing with stain away from the sofa supplier, not convinced it will work. Currently letting it dry a bit and will try carpet/upholstery cleaner.
Need to go shopping later and have chimney sweep coming this afternoon.
Thinking of all our poorlies and those with poorly family. Hugs to all who want them.

@TravellingAbuela - I am getting on with the air fryer, haven't used it much yet but do like it and pleased that I bought it.
I've been out, taken away rubbish and dropped a bag of clothes at the CS. It's gloomy here, grey skies with the threat of rain hanging around.
I hope that all goes well with Steve @snoozer, some things are in the air for a long time. xx

Good afternoon
Sunny and windy, a good drying day.
Thanks for the commiserations after my moan yesterday, I've got over it now. And no, I won't be going to the ladies only club.
OHs part arrived yesterday so I went with him to collect it and popped into Leedl for a couple of bits. Came out £40 lighter. Did treat us to a bottle of wine though.
Gammon egg and chips tonight.
Sending hugs to the poorlies and those with poorly family.
Have a good day all, take care.

Afternoon all.
@remmie - Rant away as much as you like, we're all here as listening ears! Our lives may be boring to others but what matters is that we're happy doing what we're doing - we're not all the same.
@Gers - Good to hear you had a successful weekend away, I do hope you don't have to wait quite so long for your next appointment. Happy birthday to nephew Lawrence.
@snoozer - Best wishes to you and Steve, it's a worrying time so I hope the multi disciplinary meeting happens sooner rather than later.
@Coxy11 - Ouch, to the toothache and swollen gums. I hope your dental appointment this afternoon sorts it out.
@IzzyBee - I think the lady you clean for will be glad of your company, for the time being at least.
@Suffolksue - Nothing wrong with a bargain chicken for a singleton - they're not called rubber chickens for nothing! 😁
@TravellingAbuela - Fingers crossed you get everything on your Savers list. When your air fryer arrives, please be careful getting it out of the box - you'll find it packed in quite tightly!
@dp1 - Sorry to hear you had an early morning phone call about your dad but glad he's OK.
Although I haven't spotted any yet, it's rainbow weather today - sunny one minute then raining or both at the same time. Breezy too.
Yesterday's grocery delivery was soon put away even though there didn't seem to be much there. Tbf, I'd ordered a fair few high priced household items like toilet rolls, laundry liquid, tissues etc that had pushed up the final cost but at least I won't need to order any of those for a good while.
My newly acquired air fryer did come with a user manual but no recipe book so YouTube is becoming a useful friend. So far, I've done toast, baked potato, fish, chips, bacon and cheese topped crumpets. As it will soon be Bonfire Night I'm going to use it to make Yorkshire Parkin - what's the worst that can go wrong? 😁 I have a cake tin that will fit but may need to think about some replacements in due course.
Nothing much happening today but I do need to remember to put out the recycling ready for tomorrow. I've also started a list of various people/companies that I'll need to inform of change of contact details when my broadband switch happens. DS says I'm OCD; I'm not, I'm just an organised person who likes to plan ahead and I don't think I could ever be accused of being a scatterbrain!
Waves to our MIA, I hope all is well with you and that you'll pop in soon. Take care all, have the best of days. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.12 -
@YorksLass I cook my jacket potatoes in the microwave then pop into the air fryer to crisp up, they're lovely!
