Morning again, looks as if it's been raining here.
Gers, I'm pleased that your medical appt.went well.
Remmie, I was annoyed on your behalf about the bossy woman trying to arrange your life - what a cheek.
Visited my old friend yesterday and she was in a combative mood, which I inadvertently made worse! To help the conversation along a bit I mentioned a news item, not realising that she had strong views on this subject, and she blew up! I managed to calm things down and she was ok.
I'm going to our local residents' meeting this morning, then home. I have various jobs on the go here which I can get on with. I did get the big curtains up in the bay window last week, pleased that's done anyway.
Snoozer, I hope that Steve will be ok. It's a worrying time.
Thoughts to others who aren't well, take care folks.

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons xx
I have a dental appointment this afternoon to redo a filling that is failing (hence toothache and swollen gums). To make matters worse, I have picked up DDad’s lurgy….
He is going to London today so I’ll drop him off at the station this morning and collect him later. It’s chilli con carne for tea.
Sending all good wishes to our poorlies and thinking of you @snoozer it’s a worrying time for you xxHave a good day all

Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons, I think that strong views can suddenly rear up. Fingers crossed for a good result at the dentist @Coxy11, it sounds so painful.
Yes, I came home very happy yesterday, after years of troubles it's now a waiting game for surgery. I went to bed really early yesterday, my watch tells me that I slept for 7 hours and 50 mins. Before sleeping I whizzed through SCD and watched the final of pottery show down. My order of new knickers had arrived so they were folded properly and put away. There's so many that really need chucked so it'll be a case of wearing one more time and then binning.
My buying an air fryer seems to have started off a wave of it, I hope that the newbies to it are as pleased as I am. Sometimes I need dragged into new ways, so far it seems to have worked out.
Today will be one of rest mingled with pottering. There's a bit of admin to tackle, my local pharmacist is unable to source a supply of COVID vaccines and the two places in the big town are having trouble too. I'll try a few in Glasgow.
My nephew has another birthday today, the same day as my beloved Dad and also the newly lost Lionel. The 'three L's' are down to one. That's Larry (dad), Lawrence (nephew) and Lionel. It was always weird and now more weird.
Keep well everyone - my 'flu jag site is less sore than previous years - and warm. xx

Morning all
Cold and damp here and it’s due to rain again this morning. I have one person coming as the other is off sick so she has asked that we have another day at home cooking and watching a film which is nice and easy.
Our air fryer turned up yesterday - thanks for the inspiration Gers 😀 I’m going to cook the chips in it tonight to go with ham and eggs, I’ve never used one before but am quite excited to try it. I need to do a shopping list today so will get some more bits to cook in it.
Gers I hope there is not too long to wait for your op xx
Snoozer hope all goes well with your DH xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all
@Gers my flu jab site isn't as sore as usual either. I had it in my right arm instead of left as my should was still a bit sore from the fall the other week so put it down to that!
I've had a request for Twinks so they are cooking in the oven as I speak. Off for optician's appointment later so will probably come back poorer! I have to redo my driving licence and they ask if I've had an eye test recently so 2 birds with one stone!
Have a good day all and {{hugs}} for the poorlies xx

Well it was bright and sunny an hour ago so I put a wash on .its now very grey and drizzling ,think it’s all going to end up indoors or what passes for a conservatory but at the moment is the dumping ground .
Will sort leftover chicken this morning.I succumbed to a Sains bargain which is mad on my own ,have had two good meals off one breast .
Will turn rest into curries and boil carcass for stock
Must start eating from the freezer and not buying bargains!
Quiz this afternoon
Stay safe all

Morning folks and thanks Scarlet. It was a wet start for us but it's now brightened up and I can see blue sky and snippets of sunshine.
Oh dear GERS I'm sorry you are not getting along with your air fryer. After I sang the praises of mine my DF ordered one herself. After ONE DAY (!!) she decided it wasn't for her and gave it to her DGS who was busy stocking up on kitchen items ready for starting Uni. I duly ordered my new one at the w/e and that is now in the hands of the courier. I hope I like it as much as my present one.( Oh excitement, I have just had a text telling me it will be delivered this afternoon between 2 - 3 pm.)
Grr REMMIE I felt cross for you too. I think the problem is that these people have such miserable lives themselves they get pleasure from annoying other people! SNOOZER a worrying time for you both. COXY ouch I hope all goes well with the treatment. IZZY I think the elderly lady just wants you to give her a bit of company.
I have been putting off going in town for weeks and my little list of stuff I want from Savers has grown so I intend to have a trip down this morning but must be back in time for my delivery!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning everyone
I was woken by a phone call from the care home in the early hours to say dad was on his way back to the hospital, problems with his catheter again. I've just spoken to a nurse and he's in the discharge lounge waiting for transport home again and is fine, not upset at all. I rang the care home to speak to mam, she's worried, but I know they'll try to keep her busy. I can't get down this morning as I'm going to work an hour earlier than usual.
I hope everyone has a good day, especially those who have worries, a lurgy or sore teeth x

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, your friend probably just wanted to vent. Well done with the curtains!
After a very wet and windy night it's sunshine and blue skies this morning. I've been for a swim and parcelled up the Vinted items I've sold so will walk down with those later.
Hope you get sorted at the dentist Coxy, sounds painful.
I expect your client wants to keep things as normal as possible Izzy.
I love a Savers trip TA.
Hope your Mum and Dad are ok dp1.
Have a good day if you can. Take care. XX
