"I think you may be a tad naïve if you believe you are immune from returns from bad actors. Granted, the rates are probably much lower for clothes and shoes compared to electronics for example."

    I'm not naive.

I know I'm not 'immune' from returns from bad sellers.

I actually said "I've successfully refused several requests for return".

    I didn't say I had every success.

I've been selling my own unwanted stuff on eBay for over 20 years.

I know my market and I know the price point of stuff I'm selling.

That limits the oiks who try it on.

I'm waiting on a return as apparently it's not working. I marked my unit when I sold it, so if it doesn't come back with my markings, I know it's not my one. As a private seller I'm not sure what good it will do, but at least I'll known if I've been conned.

i check all there feedback left for others as to whether they are trying to have me over - if they leave positive 99 out of 100 as buyers then i do not ask them to send it back just refund and claim it back as a business expense

from experience feedback shows the ones who are the unluckiest people on earth when they buy off ebay with complaint after complaint / i ask them to go through ebay and send it back / refund and relist when i get it back and biock them from buying from me.
