    Yikes! Replace it!!

As that bonkers cove called 'This Is Weird' seemed to suggest back then. Not that I'd trust that fellow's opinion more than my own, of course.

And since you'd like isolating valves also fitted - sensible - then a whole tap replacement will make the GS happier too.

Do you need or even want a spray attachment? If not, plenty of very decent taps available from, ooh, £30-odd.

The spray attachment is a screw-on, not integral, part of the tap. It doesn't detach but I do find it helpful to be able to direct the water flow.

Will resurrect that thread I think to consider what to get there.

There's a specific VAT toggle in the settings of the App. On the website you can choose to be a DIYer rather than a tradie - I don't know whether this affects the VAT element. There must be a cookie stored on my PC, because I always see VAT inclusive prices, even when I'm not logged in to Screwfix.

    It doesn't.

And again, not all tradies are VAT-registered and none wants to see 'excl. VAT' amount when making a payment.

It's blatant deliberate deception. Recently I shopped around for a boiler thermostat and Screwfix was and eyesore with their £170 price that in fact was excl. VAT* while all other prices in google search included VAT, including the same £170 at Plumbworld, not to mention ebay.

*ETA: I was mistaken. In a search Screwfix price does include VAT.

Sorry for the rant - you have nothing to do with this.

Both on mobile and desktop sites there is an INC VAT/EX VAT toggle. If you're not logged in to a business account it will default to INC VAT.

If you're seeing ex VAT prices it's because you've chosen to see ex VAT prices.

It's not 'blatant deliberate deception' in the slightest.

OK, tell me where exactly I can change this on the website. I already asked here and haven't got an answer. And no, I'm not a business and it's 'DIY' in my profile.

If you're seeing ex VAT prices it's because you've chosen to see ex VAT prices.

OK, tell me please where exactly I've (accidentally) chosen this.

It's not 'blatant deliberate deception' in the slightest.

Well, we aren't in a court and it's a matter of opinion. In a google search all surrounding prices do include VAT*. And please explain me why, when making a payment, you want to see excl. VAT price in large print and incl. VAT price in small/fine print.

ETA: I hardly ever use the app - only to check in. Indeed, in my app 'Include VAT' is switched off - and it wasn't me who did this. Corrected now. Hopefully, this will affect my website account, but obviously won't affect google search results.

*ETA1: I was mistaken and I apologise. In a search Screwfix price does include VAT.

On the web page very top right hand corner is a toggle switch

At the top right of the page on the website is a toggle for switching between vat included or excluded, and for the app its under the settings, preferences - nothing unscrupulous about that?
