Thought I would change the words to I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (one of my favs) now those days have long gone lol

Debt Free Wannabe Ode to debt

Oh I wish I was a Debt Free Nerd with money in the bank
But buying things I didn’t need, is what I have to thank
I was born too late, with a mind that couldn’t wait
Oh I wish I was a Debt Free Nerd with money in the bank.

The ads they screamed from magazines
The pay back terms were like a dream
And items were just begging to be taken home by me.
So I signed here and I signed there
I didn’t even stop to care
To think how I would manage if my wages were not there

But buying things I didn’t need, is what I have to thank
I was born too late, with a mind that couldn’t wait

So off I went and bought some more
Got lots of cards from lots of stores
And carried on like this until the limits I had blown
To pay them off I got a loan
I only had to use the phone
And a courier delivered 20 grand right to my door

And now I sit amongst my mess
With holes in clothes and lots of stress
The children they are wondering why the biscuits are no more
How do I tell them I’m a mug
And the bank they can just pull the plug
And we are out without a doubt sleeping on somebody’s floor

So take a leaf out of my book
And have a real long hard look
At what you should be doing not to get yourself like this
Think long and twice if you need it
Don’t think the banks will give a !!!!!!
If you get ill and can not pay its off to court you’ll go
