Went in bus/taxi cycle lane - fine

At least:
2 parking tickets
1 speeding
1 using phone while driving
1 bus lane infraction
That’s just this year, maybe some refresher lessons and/or and advance driving course may help the OP
Although with 3+6 points already this year, that may be a moot point

Or for the safety of the rest of us a bus pass 🤷♀️🤣
Life in the slow lane0 -
Phone - 6pts.
Speeding - 3pts.
Parking and bus lane are non-endorsable.
And a thread asking about gadgets so that they can use the phone hands-free while driving.
Some people just need to learn about prioritisation while driving. And if their employment requires them to drive, perhaps they should be seeking more suitable employment before this decision is taken out of their hands by loss of licence.0 -
What I meant was by putting up signs the public read them and become educated as to the whereabouts and times of bus lane enforcement.
A road I drive fairly often has a bus lane which is "live" in the mornings and evenings six days a week. Loads of people sit in a long queue in the right hand lane rather than use the left one as they are allowed to do, outwith the specified times.
Things that are different: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
Not just "allowed" to use the LH lane, obliged to do so.
The HC tells us "keep to the left, unless road signs or markings indicate otherwise. The exceptions are when you want to overtake, turn right or pass parked vehicles or pedestrians in the road." [Rule 160]

Assuming that most drivers are idiots is reasonable starting point to staying safe on the roads. 😁

And I bet there are nice, clear, legally-compliant signs, aren't there?
Which according to your theory, all those drivers will read and educate themselves and use the bus lane. Right…?
Oh.And here we have the real answer…

Most of the signs are compliant but there was a situation in Glasgow over ten years ago when the council lost a case as one of their signs was in the wrong place.

One in more than a decade…
So what can we conclude?
A swathe of the general driving public don't look where they're going, and don't take advantage of the information available, then whine when they get nicked for doing things that they blatantly obviously shouldn't have done…1 -
There may have been others but it was local to me so I was interested.
As I posted earlier most drivers are idiots which explains an awful lot. 😁
