Morning folks and thanks GERS for the new Daily. .Have a safe trip down to Glasgow and I hope the appointment goes well tomorrow.
We had an horrendous morning yesterday with rain and a battering wind. Then out of the blue a lovely sunny but chilly, afternoon. It looks damp outside this morning but no idea what is instore.
YL thanks for the info re your air fryer. I have looked at so many I am featherlegged but it's handy to hear of one that is personally recommended, Meanwhile I'll keep plodding on with my elderly one till the brain fog clears and I'll have another look.
Shopping not until lunchtime as DS is working this morning. I need a few bits for the freezer this week (yes there is a little bit of space in the freezer at last!) I am partial to my smoked haddock and down to one fillet in the freezer .No doubt the price of it will be up again this week!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Morning, thanks Gers.
I bought an air fryer a couple of months ago TA, I've never had one before . Its a N**ja, 6.4 litres capacity I think, with one drawer. I bought the stone and gold colour, there was an offer on Am" "on.I'm very pleased with it.
Same old same old today for me - hope everyone else is ok.
Take care folks.

Morning all
Blue sky out there this morning which is good as i've got some towels to hang out when I eventually get out of my pit!
DH has gone to DS to carry on with the tiling in his kitchen so the remote control is mine this afternoon after doing some baking this morning.
Nothing else planned so I'll wish everyone a good day x

Morning
Well it was a wild night last night, and I felt like I was trying to sleep in a roller coaster. I think all the sleep I caught up on has gone 😞
There was a spell of a few hours yesterday when it was sunny and we had a lovely walk but it was breezy.
Will head home late morning.Best wishes to all

Good morning
Bright and sunny outside, yesterday was wild and windy here, with horizontal rain in the afternoon.
DHs order didn't arrive yesterday, so hopefully it will today. If so I'll have a little trip out with him to collect it.
Instead I had a long phone call with my DD. She has made the difficult decision to have her old dog pts next weekend. Poor old boy has hung on since the beginning of the year, but she knows it's now time. She's not going to tell the Dgds until Friday so they have a week of still loving him. Never an easy decision.
Cooking a gammon joint today so hot gammon rolls tonight.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning again - it's still wild outside, not sure that blustery covers it. In spite of the racket I slept so well last night, best of the week. Mind you I could hardly keep my eyes open all day, most odd.
I've been packing for two nights in Glasgow. The bedroom in Alan's house is north facing and so colder than the rest of the house so I always take a spare woolly to wear in bed. And indoor shoes as he has slate or stone tiles in all rooms.
Yesterday I was fairly productive, sorted the woolly jumpers drawers and then inadvertently the cupboard with bin bags and other assorted plastic waste bags, it was quite a shocker. The garage phoned to say that the new wheel locking nut had arrived in so paid the invoice over the phone, it'll be posted out to me. Then I braved the tyre inflator for the first time, bit scary. The tyre wasn't too deflated so the machine blew it up in two minutes. Now I feel comfortable driving down to a place where there are plenty of garages - and Alan!
In the late afternoon a receptionist from my GP surgery phoned to say that I was to have a three-day heart monitor next Friday. I was just thinking about prompting them about it - no need now.
A few days ago I wrote about how I wasn't too keen on the big, mostly black and extremely ugly air fryers which are so loved by many. I was waiting for a 'pretty' one 😂 that I could live with. The one I bought is the Smeg Collezione AFC01SBMUK Air Fryer in Storm Blue. One top loading basket with 7.3l capacity, more than enough for me. Despite my reluctance I'm beginning to warm to it and it's uses. So far I've done a whole chicken and various other chicken based dishes and yesterday I heated up / crisped previously boiled potatoes. I'll get more adventurous in the winter months ahead.
Enjoy shopping @TravellingAbuela, and your 'same old day' @ScarletRibbons. TV is good @Chrisca50 and safe home @AlwaysAllie. Take care all, hugs to our poorlies and sads. xx

Bright and sunny here but with a real chill in the air, we lit the fire again last night but then I was too hot all evening 😂
DD and I went curtain shopping in the end but couldn’t find any with the correct drop and neither of us can sew to take them up, we are going to have another look online today.
Dinner tonight will be prawn and salmon pasta with baby corn and edamame really looking forward to it.
Housework to do this morning and dogs to be walked then a lazy afternoon.
Gers safe trip xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, safe travels and hope everything goes well at tomorrow's appointment.
I have a Ninja air fryer that looks like a pizza oven. It's been a good replacement for the halogen oven I had previously.
The wind and rain kept me awake in the night, had a cup of tea at 2am and nodded off again until about 7. The white wash I did last night has been finished off in the TD after a night by the fire, will save the rest of the washing until tomorrow when it's supposed to be a dry day.
The show at work went really well, the children were fantastic and the parents/grans, etc, seemed to enjoy it. Didn't take too long to clear up as a few folk stayed on to help. Now we have a much needed week off.
I'm having a slow morning, don't need to go out so will potter around at home. I have some things to put on Vinted so will get on with that later.
Hugs to anyone in need, take care. XX

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the silence, I've been in Bristol for over a week and I just don't get chance to post there
Steve and Brian were in Wales doing some work on their rental property so I was helping Laura with the children - I love it but it's so tiring.
We got back last night for what I hoped would be a more restful remainder of October but Steve has had a phone call from Papworth booking him in for an angioplasty on Monday.
We were supposed to bring the dog back with us but we didn't have room in the end so will have to meet halfway to exchange.
I hope all the poodles feel better soon and good luck with your appointment Gers.
Have a good day.

Thanks for the start Gers, safe journey.
Breezy, chilly but sunny here at the moment
I had a round 9 in 1 Ninja that I gave DD when she moved and DH bought me a Ninja that can be large or 2 separate compartments. I probably don't use as much as I should but as Gers said it's brilliant for chicken. I also do pork in it as it keeps chops succulent and not dry.
I need to pull my socks up and sort out our sun room. It has a bookcase full of cookery books and half of DH tools seem to have made there home there.
Have a good day all, hugs to all who want them.
