Advice for Horizon Parking tickets from Tesco

Hi everyone, would I be able to get some advice regarding these tickets from Horizon Parking please? Any time either myself or a support worker has tried to appeal, they immediately state that nothing was scanned therefore the parking ticket will be issued. Previously, tesco cancelled a number of tickets as I provided clubcard details and they verified that I had spent the minimum amount, but are now refusing to do so and I haven't had a reply to the last email I sent. Horizon parking seem to be sending a ticket almost any time the vehicle has been there and without wanting to play a tiny violin for myself, I have 2 new diagnoses to deal with and as tesco and horizon both seem to be saying no, I am unsure as to what I can do. Any advice would be helpful, thank you.

I do have a separate issue and I'm happy to make another thread if needed, but a ticket was received whilst waiting for food on double yellows in the Slough area. Images were taken of another vehicle who wasn't given a ticket but instead just asked to move, as well as vehicles parked in the disabled bays without blue badges, which prevented parking there. When going to appeal online, the ticket is not found and no further letter has been sent. Is this something that should just be left as letting a sleeping lion lie, or should it be chased with the council? Again, thank you for any help

How is the scanning process supposed to work, and what stops you following it (or using a different store)?

Tracey is incorrect - Tesco always have the ability to cancel these PCNs, but they are choosing not to.

Can you post redacted pictures of both sides of the PCNs you've received?

For your issue on the double yellows, if it's a council ticket you would be best asking for advice on the FTLA forum:https://www.ftla.uk/

Make sure you read their rules before posting - they can be a bit particular.

I wonder, why isn't your support worker completely exempting your car at the VRM screen on every visit?

If you have a blue badge, Horizon exempts you at Tesco stores and nobody needs to scan a receipt too. You get as long as you need.

The screen isn't prominent but it is there.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi thank you for the responses, so the scanning is just scanning the voucher that comes with the receipt, which is done either by myself or a support worker if travelling on my behalf. Being perfectly honest, I barely leave the house and when I do, it's only to places I've become comfortable with. With support, they go to the nearest store and don't change unless they have to, plus my medication goes to the in store pharmacy.

I'm currently replying to this from a lovely hospital bed but will reply with pics of the PCNs as soon as I get in

Thank you for the link to the other forum - I think my thing was more as I hadn't received a letter chasing it I was going to leave it but I don't think that's a good idea

So in this tesco, as far as I'm aware, there is nothing like that screen. We did discuss with the store manager and she mentioned adding the registration to a list, then said she couldn't and that we needed to go back to head office, which has resulted in this and their claim that they can't cancel the PCNs
