Good morning
Started with rain but a little bit of sunshine now. Quite windy though.
Today's plan is to go with DH to the diy (if they ring to say the order is in). No shopping to get, just a trip out.
Tonight will be chunky fish fingers, chips and mushy peas.
Chrisca and TA, I used to do boiled eggs in my old air fryer, but haven't had the same success with the new one.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers.
@camelot1001 - Thanks, my broadband/internet connection seems to be behaving again - I think (hope) the problem was at their end rather than mine. I just hope my imminent switchover goes smoothly! I've gone for a broadband only package and will be ditching the landline since I hardly ever use it nowadays.
@dp1 - No, I had no idea about air fryer toast either! I was expecting to end up with two slices of hard, dried out anaemic looking bread but I needn't have worried, it turned out crispy and golden brown. 👍️
@Chrisca50 - Yes, I gather you can do eggs in their shells in the air fryer but I won't be trying it either (visions of exploding eggs). 😅
@TravellingAbuela - My old air fryer was a basic one too; I dithered long and hard before taking the plunge but think I've made the right choice and it takes up less room than I thought it would. Mine's this one.
This morning started off dull and damp after a night of steady rain but the sun is out now; how long for remains to be seen as the rain is due to return later today. It's very breezy too but does feel slightly milder than yesterday. No matter, I'm not out anywhere today which is just as well as I've taken in some parcels for my NDN who is moving in just over a week's time - flat pack furniture so I can see her DP being busy this weekend. 😁
I was glad I put on a jacket yesterday when I went out for a small top-up shop, it was so chilly. Gloves wouldn't have gone amiss either. Signs of Halloween are fast appearing with some houses sporting giant cobwebs, spiders etc and I dare say they will soon be replaced by Xmas decorations. My own themed cross stitch is coming along nicely and should be finished well before December but won't be displayed until much nearer the event!
Usual Friday admin to be done today and next week's grocery delivery list to compile. Once again there will be very little needed for the freezer (slowly emptying, not rammed any more) but stocks of toilet rolls, laundry stuff etc are getting low so I'll add those to the list. Booking appointments for my flu jab and eye test are still on the To Do list. 🙄 Tonight's tea is fish & chips (air fryer of course) and after that I'm going to have a shower, PJs on and settle down to watch another episode or two of Winter. @Gers - About two thirds of the way through the first episode I suspected what the twist in the tale might be. Still enjoyable though.
Have a good day and a restful night's sleep, take care all. xx

@Suffolksue - Er, it's not me with a new granddaughter! You're forgiven though as it sounds like you've not had the best of days. x
