Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Chilly again this morning, I had the fire lit last night to make it warm and cosy. The washing was aired off whilst the fire was on.
Glad you got your bath blockage cleared YL and your inspection went well.
Hope your DDad is ok Coxy.
I loved Budapest Ruby, take your swimming togs.
Great you got your hearing aid fixed Gers.
Off to work again, looking forward to a week off!
Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I woke up to a beautiful starry starry sky but, once again, a chilly start. Sun is forecast for most of the day but so far it doesn't feel much warmer for it.
I had a strange day yesterday. I was ok until lunchtime and then a sort of weary yonderly feeling swept over me and I slept the whole afternoon on the sofa. Woke at teatime, had a slice of toast and fell asleep again until 9.30 pm. I've no idea what that was all about, I didn't know whether to blame this odd on off coughing bug with its weird symptoms or the flu jab the day before. Although I have never reacted to a flu jab before. Anyway so far I'm feeling ok this morning whatever the cause was.
It will be the usual Thursday chores this morning - kitchen and bathroom clean and then I should really carry on with the cutting back this afternoon, making hay whilst the sun shines! I will see how it goes.
Have a good day folks if you can, with ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Morning again, it's cold and damp here.
I have washing to do but I think it will have to go upstairs on the airer with the dehumidifier beside it.
Flu and Covid jabs scheduled for this morning and I'll do a bit of shopping while I'm out.
That's about it for today, hope everyone has a good day. Take care folks.

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
DDad is okay, doesn’t have pneumonia (as I feared) and we got AB’s from the urgent care clinic. Did have to wait 3.5 hours though but staff doing their best in challenging circumstances. He doesn’t have an NHS record as lives abroad and I had no clue about his meds so that took a while….
Haircut today and possibly have DDad staying until Saturday as DSis had planned to take him away but not sure he’s up to it.
Will read back on yesterday’s thread for everyone’s news.Have a good day

Blue sky out there but definitely feeling colder.
These bugs going around are causing very weird symptoms aren't they @TravellingAbuela My Italian one has just about left me but I still have a slight cough but not as bad as the beginning of the week. I had my flu jab yesterday but no side effects either.
Feeling well enough now to sort out the winter/summer change around. I must be strict with myself and instead of putting things away for another year that haven't been used again this year I must make a pile for the charity shop.
Apart from that nothing else planned for today so hope everyone has a good one xx

Sorry, I was awol for a few days. Nothing new to say and was feeling tired. Anyway, I have escaped in the campervan for a few days. Current view from bed is a rainbow in the sunrise. Hoping DF and DM manage, bit of a test really but there is enough food in for weeks (!) and I can catch up with stuff when I’m back - mainly concerned about the extra pressure it puts on DF. However must admit it’s nice not to feel on edge all the time I’m there but I did sleep a chunk of yesterday afternoon, and all last night
Will have a walk later - I’m in a place where there’s a disused railway to walk along to the coast so perfect for my still-recovering ankle.
Best wishes to all
AA

Good morning
Chilly start here, 5degs outside. Looking at the forecast we should have some sunshine today. Yesterday was drizzly until lunchtime.
I went with DH to collect the parts he ordered and had a look in bee and em. My goodness, what a load of tat in there. Halloween is certainly a big thing now, I don't remember it being so when mine were young, although that was almost 50 years ago. Showing my age now, I suppose it's different if you've got young ones.
By the time we got back I just did some southern fried chicken with coleslaw and garlic bread, so tonight will be sausages and mash.
Enough moaning and waffling from me, have a good day all. Take care.

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. I've been loitering upstairs putting two drawers into some sort of proper order. In amongst the Tshirts I found two identical ones, both still in their packets. So that the lightweight and medium weight tops done, I'll tackle the heavy weight jumpers tomorrow. I need layers in winter as my house only has the wood burner for heat.
Whilst upstairs I've dug up my much loved Scamp & Dude dress which I bought for the wedding in Seoul back in 2024. It's now four dress sizes too big for me and I really can't keep it. I'll take it to my favourite CS at the weekend. Sad, but happy. A replacement for it arrived yesterday which I'm very happy with so I've still got a dress to wear if / when necessary - no idea when that will be but I'll be ready.😀
@IzzyBee - thanks for asking about the air fryer, it's certainly more useful than I anticipated and I'm enjoying great crunchy food again. I've not ventured into anything other than that yet though I have plans to. The Good Food website has some tasty looking recipes.
Yesterday I got an unexpected phone call from NHS Scotland to offer me an appointment in Glasgow on Sunday morning. I've been waiting a while for an 'urgent' gynae appointment so grabbed at the chance. NHS are using the weekends to catch up backlogs and clearing waiting lists. It means I'm going down on Saturday afternoon to spend a couple of days with my friend Alan.
Today I have a brow tidy appointment. After years of dithering about my bushy eyebrows I'm glad I took the plunge and had them waxed last month. Doesn't seem much regrowth but then I can't see them too closely. Apart from that my plans are to start to read the new Ian Rankin (no Rebus) book, catch up on some TV and juggle some monies around. My new med needs an alert piece of jewellery so I've ordered a proper necklace, not keen but it's preferable to a bracelet for me.
It's lovely to read about illnesses slowly going though @TravellingAbuela's 'wan' day was strange. Take care all, xx

Bright and sunny here but chilly, yesterday it rained all day and was so cold that I lit the log burner late afternoon we had a very cozy evening and the dogs loved it.
My meeting went well yesterday and she has offered me the job 😀 her rate of pay is lower than my normal one so I’ve told her I need my normal rate, she is going to have a look at the figures and get back to me today or tomorrow, she seems to be a nice lady but I have a minimum I will work for so hopefully it will work out.
Dinner tonight will be a chicken curry and rice I think I will do some Bombay potatoes with it too and poppadoms.
Camelot I am very excited for Budapest we had read about the thermal spa’s and had planned to take our swimmers, there seems to be a lot to do there as well xx
Dogs to be walked and I need to nip to the shop for coriander other than that a nice quiet day.
Have good days all and take care xx
