Tesco Winter Sports Travel Insurance

Just tried to buy some travel insurance with Tesco online (£31 for both of us, as they have an offer for free winter insurance), but it wouldn't accept my address, so I couldn't buy it.

Phoned them up, and they told me they can't quote the same as online (well it's not MY fault there's a glitch with their web page that won't recognise alot of addresses!), but she said I can buy it instore for the online price apparently.

Since then, i've just read the Tesco Travel Insurance reviews ( http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews10883.html ), and am thinking that their insurance is perhaps not worth the paper it's written on.

Does anyone know of any other company that offers reasonable ski insurance? Most seem to be double the price that Tesco are asking!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I was also looking at getting the Tesco Travel insurance - but was wondering if it was any good, and if anyone had used it before - we are also going ski-ing, and are looking at an annual family insurance with winter sports.

    thanks for help

Came out at £91.99 for me - annual pass inc ski for 2 adults and 2 children - £42.06 looks better, but how do you get it? Was looking at American Express - they seem to have quite a good price - does anyone know if they are any good? - thanks

Mine's just a 1 week winter sports insurance to Europe for 2 adults and no brats er... i mean children!

If you just google the company name and "review", then you can often read about people's experiences with the company, be it good or bad!

I went skiing last year and have a Lloyds bank account. I upgraded my account so that I had free holiday insurance, changed it to winter sports then when I got back downgraded my account again (nothing in terms to say you can't. Had no problems and only cost me £10 - covered the two of us.

Think we're going again next month so will prob look to do the same again.
  • I always use complete-ski.com for ski insurance. They're ski insurance specialists and they are the cheapest I've found. I also have a link to a 10% discount they sent to me - doesn't look like there are any restrictions on the use either. Hope you get a good deal!
