Tesco Petrol Offer 2026
For many members this 'offer' is a con. It available only at manned petrol stations, not at pay at pump operations. It is redeemed by presenting the receipt at the kiosk to a real person. We have a brand new Tesco here in Harrogate with pay at pump the only option, no kiosk, entirely unmanned. Staff in store can't help and are fed up with grumpy folk like me complaining.
The nearest petrol stations where the offer can be used are either in York or Leeds, journeys not to be undertaken likely and would cost much of the discount. I have pointed out to Tesco that they are damaging their reputation.
Update the weekly digest to reflect the restricted nature of the offer?

How is it a con when it works at the manned ones? Don't think you understand what a "con" is.
Asda have a similar offer. Same applies there.

Petrol offers never any use for elderly who shop for one - we don't spend £60 in a shop!

I did notice this offer at my local (petrol station-less) Tesco Superstore.
As you say, its worth is rather dependent on your distance from a site where you can actually redeem it.
In my case the nearest is a 7km drive. The location is 200 meters from a Costco (current saving, 10p/ltr).
So no particular contest if you're a Costco member.
EDIT : Of course it's not a con.

Tampon offers never any good for me because I am a man. Where do you draw the line here?

Why is it necessary to distinguish elderly customers who only shop for one?
Must be a fair few people who don't own a car (or who drive an EV) who are also being disenfranchised.

I could feel annoyed because the offer is only for those that shop in store. I only shop online and spend considerably more than £60. But, hey ho, there are more important things in life than saving £2 or £3 on a tank of fuel.

Because they aren't making anywhere near as much on online shoppers, thats why.
Supermarkets offer a delivery for what, anywhere between £3-£10? It costs WAY more than that to pack your order, put it on a van, the cost of the diesel, the wear and tear on the van, and the employment costs of the driver.
Its simple economics.

But with Asda you can scan the app, the voucher and pay with your phone at the unmanned pumps.
Never associate with idiots on their own level, because, being an intelligent man, you'll try to deal with them on their level - and on their level they'll beat you every time.
Being hated by idiots is the price you pay for not being one of them.

Well thats news to me, I assumed was just the manned ones, have now looked and seems its the lot bar some BP/Shell ones.
I stand corrected. In any case there is no "con" here.

Must be a fair few people who don't own a car (or who drive an EV) Last couple of petrol vouchers
I got. I gave them to another customer driving a petrol car. Now all my vouchers are digital & not seen any sine change, so guess they realised I do not use petrol 🤷♀️🤣
Although would never shop in Tesco.
