That's so helpful thank you, I like the slightly outside the box ideas!

I'm pretty sure when I planted my daffodils my neighbours were wondering what I was about to kill next, but I'm hopeful I'll be able to share some photos of lovely blooming flowers next spring!

Aside from the tulips, if your garden is large, look at shrubs which flower. I have an Abelia that’s been flowering for months, choiysia get small white flowers and smells lovely. Acers have lovely foliage if any part of the garden is shady the leaves change colours , also Tom Thumb has great shiny dark leaves, as does Sambucca nigra.
Spend some time in winter drawing a basic diagram of what you’d like the garden to be like. Lots to keep you busy in the cold months. Remember the small plants soon grow are cheaper and give lots of satisfaction to watch them grow and flower.

    Enjoy your garden 😁

I've just found out we have 2 large house clearance warehouses by us which includes a lot of garden items including pots so I'll be visiting this weekend.

In other news my Muscari has started to sprout already

I can recommend Farmer Gracy for bulbs - they have a fabulous range of tulips and daffs, and just noticed that they are 30% off today! I thought I'd bought enough for this year, but there's always room for a few more.....

Thank you, I'm still looking for pots to for the bulbs I have. But I hear a garden centre around 20 minutes away has some good offer on pots.
