Glues for repairing polycarbonate freezer drawers

Have a look at JB weld

That was my solution too after my wife decided to close the freezer door before pushing the drawer back in.

Super glue AND baking powder
build it up a bit like a weld
powder on first then the glue
Normally very strong, not sure of the result in low temps though ?0 -
If it's just a flat surface I'd go with the aforementioned tape. If it's the complicated mouldings at the back that hold the drawer in place I usually reinforce it with a nail or similar and put in loads of Araldite. That has lasted for years.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Just looked at my repair, but it was to fix a broken clip where the front panel met the sides, so plenty of surface for the adhesive to do its work. I used StixAll, and it appears to have adhered well.
However, it really depends on where the damage is. If it's a crack on a thin flat panel, then it won't be at all strong unless it's reinforced with an overlapping piece. If all surfaces are abraded, then StixAll should work well.
Picture, Nick?

Another gaffer tape user here. I did have to replace an entire drawer earlier this year as it disintegrated altogether. I can confirm it cost £47 for my Bosch FF.

Not sure that methylene chloride should be considered. It used to be in paint strippers but replaced due to H&S concerns.

It's recently gone in a kitchen refurb but I have to say I wasn't too impressed with the quality of Bosch fridge door bottle holders. I'd have been happy with tape to repair but twice the little lugs broke and that method was impossible.

If that happens again glue in place some suitably sized rawlplugs and then short brass screws to hold bottle and jar holders in place.
Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke0 -
