DCB/parking eye claim

Hello,

My husband had a few letters from parking eye about a parking fine from a private car park in Cambridge - angliear hearing. The signs are not obvious at all and he was there no longer than 10mins to run into the Tesco across the road.

We ignored the letters as we believed private parking companies can’t force alt fine you or end up giving up. He’s received a letter today (more than 2 years later) from DCB. It’s a ‘letter of claim’. We’re emailing parking eye for an SAR and DCB to pause proceedings while we build our dispute.

What’s the advice on how to go about disputing it? Any letter templates?

thanks so much

Vicky

If they have sent a formal Letter before Claim then they cannot start a claim for 30 days. You can ask for extra time within the reply form (box g) if you are getting advice.

In practice it will be much more than 30 days before you get a claim form anyway and all you need to do is follow the advice in the Newbies thread

Just use the reply in post 2 of the NEWBIES thread. It won't stop it but play the game because defence will be a cinch.

To prepare for the Claim Form, why not read any of the five ParkingEye DCB Legal claim threads I have replied on saying the exact same thing on all of them in the past 48 hours? All the same. Yours too!

hi all, thanks for your help so far!

I’ve had a look on the newbies thread but I’m very new to this site so finding it tricky to navigate to where you mean. You say 2nd post… which one is that? They all seem to be about different things

    It means post 2.

Each reply is a post, like this one. The only difference is, each reply there is long.
