HMCTS will lodgement
Hello, does anyone know what the current timelines are for getting a lodgement certificate after sending a will to HMCTS for storage? The 2 weeks mentioned here must be well out of date. The will was delivered there on July 8th and the cheque was cashed not long thereafter but still no certificate. I tried the phone helpline on the web page on 28 August they appear to have simply read their web page and said it should have been 2 weeks and , gave me an email address safecustodywillsenquiries@justice.gov.uk which gets no replies, not even an acknowledgment. Any ideas?

Sorry, can't help with how to resolve it, but we sent ours in early June (not sure of the exact date). Cheques were cashed on the 9th and the certificates were both dated the 16th and received shortly after that. So there clearly weren't any obvious delays just a month before you sent yours.

In case anyone is following - the lodgement certificate was sent to the testator where it was lost, it's now been found. I've informed HMCTS (and apologised).
