Oven or air fryer?

Definitely not - if you're barely using your oven you are not going to save a fortune switching!

I’ve worked out my payback will be made within a year. I often cook a whole chicken, it takes about an hour instead of 1hr 40min at a lower temperature, so I think the saving is more than 20p. I bought a single drawer air fryer from Costco, I think I paid about £50.

Since buying an air fryer I've only used the conventional oven for large meals with lots of dishes; I think the last time was last Christmas/New year and the next will be the coming ones.

I wouldn't be without my Ninja Foodi Max 15-in-1 multicooker. Its an airfryer but has many other functions as well including Roast, Bake and a pressure cooker which I use a lot for cooking all sorts (Mince 5 mins) etc. It can also steam roast a large chicken in 45 mins making it lovely and moist. I only put my (Gas) oven on now if I need to cook something that's too big to go in here. For me the cost is irrelevant, its the convenience that I like.

We heavily use a "toaster oven". A small 700 watt countertop oven that can compliment using the gas hob. We are a household with adult children and we have a range-width stove with a single cavity oven- takes around 30 minutes to get up to temperature(!) and it would be used several times a day. Swapping to a £25 wee thing took a large amount off my electricity bill.
I now only use the "big oven" for family gatherings and batch baking.0 -
I have a tabletop air fryer/oven it looks like a mini oven, but it also air fries. Brand is Cosori it also has a rotisserie which is brilliant, I love it.
