Singapore Airlines Economy Class - Any Good??

We are off to singapore for 2 weeks in august to visit family.
Singapore Airlines are coming out the cheapest approx £2400 for 2 adults and 1 child.
Is this airline any good? Wish we could afford business but its only economy for us :rolleyes:

I haven't used them for a number of years but they were excelent when I did. Years ago I worked in the travel indutsry and they had one of the best reputations.
Sure I've seen another thread today with people praising Singapore.

SIA are widely regarded as being virtually the best airline in the world. Sure, you will not experience true business-class service but if you drink enough of the excellent champagne they serve in economy, it will feel almost as good.0

Excellent airline used them many times, cannot fault the service on board,Entertainment and food is great.

Yep - ditto what everyone said above!
We have used them a number of times for long haul to Aus and have found them excellent everytime. We had a 4mth old with us the first time and they really couldn't do enough to help.
P.... if you don't like what I say, then don't listen....

thanks everyone, still trying to shave off a few pounds got it cheaper by a tenner so far !! lol but singapore airlines are still the cheapest0

you will have no problem with SIA. they are one of the best airline. checkout their airfare at https://www.singaporeair.com. surprise, surprise, the airfare from their website is very competitive. that's where i booked my flights with SIA last year.
other airline that fly to singapore non-stop are BA and qantas.0 -
