Multiple parking fines despite registering car

Good morning all,

I've received multiple parking fines for parking at my partners address (apartment complex).

The new parking system was introduced at the start of August and I was told I only needed to register my car once on the system and that was it. Despite doing this on the day the system was introduced (I did not take a screenshot after registering), I have received roughly 25 fines.

I have contacted the company via appealing and have not heard anything back from them. There is no other way to contact the company and I am unsure how to proceed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have not had anything like this happen before.

  • I bet you haven't received any fines.

Have you looked through the Newbies thread?

You have to register on every visit. Who misinformed you?

Your partner must complain angrily to the site landlord or managing agent to demand these are cancelled because someone misinformed you both.

Say that these extortionate invoices and the unexpected, unreasonable and financially onerous burden of family & regular visitors having to remember to take steps to Whitelist the same car, again and again on every visit (rather then be added to the site Whitelist once by the service provider, which would be more user-friendly) is a causing a private nuisance and has interfered with the residents' peaceful enjoyment of the property.

    DO NOT PAY THESE.

DO NOT ASK CITIZENS ADVICE. Sadly their advice is beyond the pale on private PCNs at the moment.

You do NOT need a solicitor so no worries. Which parking firm?

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

The company is Smart Parking (I've researched and all bad reviews).

I believe it was a representative or someone who was installing the cameras who made my partner aware, I was at work at the time.

I have been bombarding their appeals email and appealing every single fine to attempt to get my point across.

    Thank you for your reply
