Hi, I went to Majorca a couple of years ago and can't recall anything being cheaper than in England. Most things were about the same I think. Sorry!0

Cigarettes
Tobacco
Spirits
Perfumes
Leather goods
Clothes in chain stores in Palma
Clothes in Hypermarkets in Palma
Majorica pearl jewellery
all make good buys in Majorca.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Don't buy your ciggies in Palma duty free - 3 or 4 euros a sleeve more than the 'outside world'.0

Making good quality shoes, that's what the Spanish are best at !
There's an outlet mall outside Palma (City not Nova) with some really good shoe shops.
Some are still not 'dirt' cheap, but they're better than you get over here for double the price.0 -
Travel to Inca for leather goods. It's in the middle of the island and you can get the bus there. The leather factories are in this town, and there are some beautiful shops selling goods cheaper than other shops on the island. Inca market is good, but I can't remember what day that was on. It's massive!
I got some smashing tan leather boots there last time for around £25. The leather is lovely and soft and the are comfortable to wear. They are much better quality than boots sold here. I've been wearing them for 2 years and only recently had them soled and heeled. Here I go again on my own....0 -
hi there just a quicky to say INCA market is on on THURSDAYS and is very large so get there real early and if you can drive do so as I find the excusions from hotels can be very exhausting / time limiting /and a little costly also please be advised that on markets the prices quoted are usually inflated and its a good idea to haggle in most cases as this in most cases is the norm Jope this helps ..... Another nice market is FELANIX on SUNDAYS a beautiful village with lots of character thats worth looking at if you are close by .... hope this helps£2.00 savings club =£2.000

Camper shoes are made in Majorca and are generally about a third cheaper than in the UK. They also have a factory shop up in the hills (just ask - all the locals seem to know where it is!). Zara and Mango clothes are also approx 33% cheaper than the UK
In the old town of Palma there are quite a few interiors shops with quality glassware, lamps, etc which are all at decent prices. I bought some cushions for £10 each which I'd seen in Selfridges the week before for about £70 each!0
