Cheapest night tariff

You'll have to do your research and it will depend on if you have an EV or not. I believe EDF GoElectric has the cheapest at the moment.

Do you have an EV?

Yes but I only charge it once every 2 weeks

I believe EDF only states that the EV needs to be registered at the address and even then, I've read they do no follow up checks to verify that.

In which case, EDF Go Electric could be your best bet.
They're offering me 6.66p/kWh from 11pm to 6am.

And EDF are still offering an 18 month fix on the GoElectric tariff.
Given the turmoil in the energy markets, if I was switching now, I'd be taking that 18 month fixed option.
I'm with them already on the GoElectric tariff and got a fix earlier this year through to end October 2027.
Its also worth mentioning that with EDF you get a full 7 hours of off-peak use for car charging and the rest of the house. Some other EV tariffs only offer 5 or 6 hours off-peak.
If you do decide to switch to them before 7th October, make sure you get a referral code from an existing EDF customer. If you do, you will get £75 credit on your new account.
Forum rules don't allow sharing of referral codes here, but if you do a Google search there are a couple of referral code websites where you will be able to get a code if you don't already know an EDF customer.
Or search Facebook for the EDF referral code sharing group. I'm on that forum and they issue codes in strict rotation to keep it fair for everyone.1 -
When I click through, that tariff doesn't come up?

Click this link:
add your details, say that you have EV, charger and if you're on your phone you need to swipe through results left-right as FrerPhase at least for me showed up first.
@lohr500 have they somehow checked if you have EV or just the confirmation at the begin where you say "yes"?
TBH, these are amazing rates! 6.66p at night, 7h night..

Before switching to EDF from UW in March this year, I called EDF and asked if it was mandatory to have an EV to switch to the GoElectric tariff. The call centre person said it wasn't so that was good enough for me.
I presumed they would record calls anyway so the conversation would be on record.
I initiated the switch online, choosing the GoElectric tariff, answering "Yes" to EV ownership.
When the email confirmation came through, including the tariff specific T&C's , there was absolutely nothing in the T&C's that I could find requiring the ownership of an EV. Or indeed any definition of what they consider to be an EV. There maybe something buried in the general T&C's about falsification of statements when signing up for tariffs but if there is, I couldn't find it.
Initially they put me on SVT until they could be sure that they were getting reliable half hourly readings from the smart meter. After +/- 48 hours they moved me onto the GoElectric tariff.
At no point since have they contacted me to ask for proof of EV ownership.
As it happens we got our first EV in August and now charge it 2 or 3 times per week.
If you are thinking of switching to GoElectric and don't have an EV, I would call their customer service line and ask the question.3 -
I used your link but nowhere do I et an option to say I have EV?
