Morning again, it seems to be an ok morning, cold though. We've started to put the heating on for a couple of hours in the morning.

We're off to the Lake District today, returning on Friday.

I had an absolutely rubbish night but I won't go into that. Today I really must make a start on the cutting back in the back garden before the cold weather arrives. No excuses this time! I have one of those gardening sit on things somewhere in the garage so will unearth that, it might help.

Morning all, thanks to @ScarletRibbons for the start, have a great time at the Lakes.

I had an average night, not bad and not good. Mind you, I was still buzzing after watching Nish Kumar! He's so fast, spitting out his ire wrapped in fascinating information, very clever and extremely funny with it. There was a BSL signer on stage who was even more excellent, she had no idea what his script was, she kept up so well. Definitely best show this year for me.

No breakfast at the hotel, it's £15.00 but I can't make the most of it so it's a waste of money. I'll pick up a takeaway coffee at the bus station and be home round about 12p.m., I can last until then.

I hope that everyone has a good day. It's a public holiday for a lot of Scotland so no post again I think. Hugs to poorlies and sads. Xx

PS - just checked on RM website, as thought, so deliveries in my area so still no air fryer. That's the peril of using a small independent shop, if I'd gone big river it would be with me. Lesson learned. ☹️

morning everyone thanks for the start scarlet enjoy the lakes I hope the weather stays fine but just think it’s the same weather at home enjoy your change of scenery. Pleased you enjoyed the show Gers TA hope you get all your gardening jobs done it’s bright here but very cold I’m meeting my friend for a walk a coffee and a catch up .i watched the 70 up programme I had recorded last night I had a few tears at the end I’ve watched them all and I think the thing it said to me was we all want the same a happy home life and good health . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Good morning

A dull and chilly start, maybe today's the day I give in and put the heating on.

Yesterday started bright, I went to Asd* to use my £5 off £40 voucher. When I came out of the store it was pelting down. I got soaked getting back to the car, that wasn't on the forecast, but by the time I got home it had stopped.

I recorded SCD this week as Dh was watching F1 and football. I watched it back yesterday and decided that I'll do that every week, I can then just watch the dancing and cut out the new presenters, I don't think they're working.

Usual chores today, leftover steak pie for Dh tonight, I'll find something in the freezer.

Morning all

I’ve not had a good night either so struggled to get going this morning and I’ve had a very upset tummy so feel a bit jaded.

I’m off to mums this morning to do a bit of cleaning I was supposed to be cooking for her but I’m not sure it’s a good idea, I might leave that to the carers and concentrate on cleaning.

There is left over lamb for dinner but I’m not sure I will fancy it, if not I will have something else.

Scarlet have a great trip away xx

Morning everyone

Nice sunny morning here, hopefully it will warm up a bit later. Little one and little lad arrived in time for tea on Saturday….bolognese bake TA, little one had seconds. I got all her news from school, she'd been learning more about Pompeii. Oh and she was very impressed I could recite my 7 times table, then pointed out I must have kept it in my brain for at least 50 years!!

On Sunday morning we went for a walk, little one was on her bike for the first time in ages, little lad was shouting encouragement and flinging his legs up and down in his buggy. Then he had a nap and we played games, operation which I've always been useless at, draughts and several games of frustration. DD dropped me down at the care home after lunch, had a nice couple of hours chatting mostly with mam as dad fell asleep.

I've some ironing to do before work so best get moving…hope everyone has a good day x

TA , Ruby and others sorry you had bad nights. I slept reasonably but very deeply with strange dreams that I now can't remember

DH off to bowls tonight so my DF coming round so we can put the world to rights.

I had a good night for once ,woke at 5.30 for a loo break then dropped off again until 8 ,still feeling a bit slow !

Went to quiz on Saturday and we won on a tie break !

The quiz I set on Thursday went down pretty well .

Still hobbling etc

It's my volunteering afternoon today. I was on window dressing duty last week and was complimented for having 'the eye' for it. They are a nice team of people there.

DS2 is cooking tonight then I'm attending the Parish Council meeting for the first time. Will be interesting to see what happens there.

Greenhouse is now fully glazed and I've just spent half an hour popping the plastic caps over all the bolts. One or two I can't reach so that will be for DH to do later.
