Cost to replace bathroom sink with shower enclosure
Looked at a one bedroom flat to purchase that ticks all the boxes except, there is a shower installed in the corner of the bedroom!
The area under the staircase (to the top flat), has been converted into a small cloakroom that houses a toilet & sink/cupboard unit.
I'm wondering how feasible it would be to take out the sink unit & replace with a shower enclosure, I believe the width of the room is 2'6"
The toilet could be replaced with one of those with a small sink that sits on top of the cistern. There is a window for ventilation in the cloakroom.
And obviously, rip out the shower in the bedroom
I like the look of the bathroom wall panels rather than tiles/grout, with a thermastatic shower.
I'll try & upload some pics, I'd like to hear your thoughts on whether this could be an option and poss costs? Based in South West, cheers

The toilet is opposite the sink in the cloakroom

An alternative maybe - remove window in bedroom, replace with two windows with gap in between and build wall etc to make an en suite

I did think along those lines originally but would prefer it gone & make the bedroom more spacious

You would need to make sure there is suffient ventilation in such a small space.

You could fit in a 800mm shower tray but rather than the sink over cistern given restricted headroom you should install a narrow vanity unit sink under the window.

Our shower room is almost an identical size so it's perfectly possible to do as you suggested.
Sorry, can't comment on cost as ours was done as part of a bigger refurbishment but I'd definitely go for a dedicated shower room rather than the in bedroom shower and as @gwynlas says a cloakroom size washbasin would be far better than an one over the cistern.

Those toilets with a basin combined into the cistern might seem like a good idea, but you're going to have a heck of a problem leaning over the toilet pan trying to clean your teeth. Plus wouldn't they be cold water only?

No they can use hot hot water if plumbed in bout you will need hot and cold feed to the sink
You will already have a cold feed for the cistern to work.
As for using the sink and cleaning your teeth you sit on the pan/toilet seat facing the sink so you can do your number 1 or 2 and clean your teeth so you are multi tasking 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Job done.
