Bizarre car finance issue: Can a car be logged as "repossessed" multiple times in a year?

So just who do you owe £1200 to?
Has the debt been paid back?
Sounds more like defaults on debt.

Debt now completely paid. I was in arangment to pay and never missed a payment.

Since the debt is now fully paid and you never missed a payment under the arrangement, those monthly "forced repossession" markers look like inaccurate reporting to me. I'd put a data-accuracy complaint in writing to the lender asking them to correct every month so the record reflects the payments you actually made, and raise the same dispute directly with each credit reference agency that's showing the markers.
They're obliged to keep your data accurate and investigate, so ask for a written response within 28 days. If they just fall back on "a lengthy investigation" without doing anything, log it as a formal complaint — that starts the 8-week clock, after which you can escalate to the Financial Ombudsman if they won't correct it.1 -
Do the reposessed markers only refer to the months when you were repaying the outstanding amounts or do they cover other months?
