Switch from Sainburys E-on Next to E-on Next

On 1st Sept 2026 via the MSE Cheap energy club I applied for the above switch as my current contract ending 25th Sept 2026. Received confirmation email from MSE Cheap energy club that my switch was in progress and it should take place within 5 days. Having heard nothing from either new supplier or old supplier I have telephoned both and they have no record of the switch.

I pay by DD and am not in arrears. Now on variable rate tariffs as contract finished.

The new contract was called 'Fixed 12m Exclusive v8'. Obviously prices have been vastly increased now. Awaiting reply from MSE Cheap Energy Club.

Any advice appreciated.

Switch from Sainburys E-on Next to E-on Next

Sainsbury's and EON Next are both the same supplier behind the scenes; EON Next provide white-label services to Sainsbury's. In principle this should make it simpler to sort this out, but that's not guaranteed.

Awaiting reply from MSE Cheap Energy Club.

Does this mean you've already emailed them? energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com

When I applied for the 12m v8 I received the e-mail from Eon before the one from CEC - 18.00 & 18.09, I hadn't moved off the CEC screen when the Eon mail arrived !
