Morning folks and thanks GERS. I hope your new air fryer duly arrived yesterday and you have already enjoyed experimenting!
It promises to be a lovely sunny day here, much better than the day of drabness we had yesterday. Very little in the way of drizzle just greyness all day. Last night we had the most amazing sunset with a wall to wall sky of pink/red/gold all mixed together. Did anyone else get this? It was beautiful.
No plans for today as shopping isn't until tomorrow so can please myself what I do. I don't know whether to trip out somewhere or do the neglected gardening jobs.
Thanks for the advice about Bio-Oil, I have passed this on to DD and she will definitely try it.
Have a good day folks and have a lovely day. Take care all, be safe. CHRISCA and SCARLET enjoy your trips away. x

Morning all
Looks to be a nice day out there so far.
Had a lovely evening with my friend last night. A nice meal at a Nepalese restaurant first and then saw Jason Manford who was hilarious. Still buzzing when I got home so took a while to fall asleep and woke at an ungodly hour this morning. Good in some ways as we are staying at hotel by the airport tonight for a 6am flight tomorrow so I will, hopefully, be tired enough to have an early night so will get some hours sleep before an early alarm call.
Hope everyone has a good day and I'll catch up later next week xx

Morning all, thanks Gers.
It's fine here but seems to have rained a bit during the night. It's looking really like autumn now, with fallen leaves all over the place. It's a melancholy time I always think.
Bio oil is good stuff used on scars TA, hope DD is doing well.
Continuing with preparations for going away on Monday, we're looking forward to it. We've missed our caravan so much over the last year or so.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning again - no, my air fryer didn't arrive yesterday. 😥 I emailed the company and got this reply.
I have spoken to ParcelForce about the delay you’re having.
They have explained to me that there is a huge influx of parcels in their system currently, and Royal Mail have taken on a large selection of them in order to get them all processed and out for delivery as quick as possible. They have sincerely apologised for the delay and advised that you should receive delivery tomorrow or Monday from Royal Mail. So, because they are very busy ParcelForce pick and chose which parcels to deliver - beggars belief! If it doesn't come today then it'll probably be Tuesday as Monday is public holiday. Grrr…but it's not the worst thing in the world so I'll stay calm.
Yesterday I did a white washing load whilst the grass cutter was here, it's all now hanging on the airer upstairs. The vigorous hydrangea will be pruned in mid October as the chap needs to bring big ladders and / or a platform. He'll also hedge cut it.
My new tablet is too big for me to swallow so I used a hammer to crush it (as per the information leaflet inside), stewed a nearly manky apple (as per the information leaflet) to mix in - like done with cats. 😂 Then I went out to buy some more apples. Cue some stewing and ordering a proper tablet crusher online. More faffing around and falling into the abyss of elderly health. More Grrrrr.
This morning I have an appointment with the lovely pharmacist then I'll go up to the big town. I don't need much though I have an M&S e-gift card to spend before it expires. Talking of M&S, I ordered some of their letter-box flowers to be sent to an elderly friend of my DM in Glasgow for her 91st birthday. They failed to be delivered - DPD lost it and then it was delayed! It all is so strange. Got a full refund and another e-gift card, decided not to have a new order sent. I'm fed up being given bad customer service and then apologised to. When I went to a bank earlier this week I asked the cashier for £100.00 and £10.00 in pound coins. She replied that they only had bags of £20.00. My blank look was met by 'we only put out bags of coins and don't split them' - as I only wanted £10.00 I didn't back down and she eventually and reluctantly split the bag. I am beginning to think that I live in a parallel world where the norms of life are turned upside down - and it's not an age thing!
Great about Jason Manford @Chrisca50 and happy holiday too. I'm seeing Nish Kumar in Glasgow tomorrow night - love a good laugh, and need one after this week. 😂 My nephew sent me a fabulous photo of the sunset in the Droitwich area last nigh @TravellingAbuela, meanwhile mine was thin blue with wisps of grey. The full moon was almost all hidden by cloud until early this morning. Now we are grey again.
Lunch will be more of the minced beef concoction with plenty of veg. And I have some programmes to catch up with, Last Seen, Slow Horses and Youth are all on my agenda.
Take care all - hope that everyone has a good day, or a better one. Hugs all round.

Good morning
A bright sunny start, yesterday although not cold was cloudy all day.
I must be the only one not to have received a £5 off £30 from Lidell, instead I got £5 off £70. No chance I'll spend that much. Then yesterday As* a sent me a £5 off £40, much more doable, I'll use that over the weekend. Probably tomorrow.
No plans yet for today, laundry all up to date (for now) so will see what today brings. Footy match for Dh tonight and Scrictly for me. Chicken burgers in cheesy topped rolls.
Scarlet and Chrisca, enjoy your holidays.
Gers, customer service these days is diabolical. I'm still waiting for a big river parcel that should have been delivered Thursday, now says tomorrow.
Have a good day all, take care.

morning everyone I haven’t managed to get on for a couple of days but you haven’t missed anything same old . A lady I clean for has been admitted to hospital she was ninety a couple of weeks ago but the last few months I have seen a big change in her but she is improving she has two brothers older than her and a niece and they didn’t get in touch when it was her birthday not to even post a card and that really upset her although she said she wasn’t bothered I could tell she was and I don’t think that helped she says she doesn’t like a fuss but there’s a difference between a fuss and been acknowledged anyway she is on oxygen and eating and the chapel she goes to and her friends have rallied round . Gers that is shocking you are right about customer service but I did chuckle about not backing down over the pound coins how ridiculous. We had beautiful skies last night and it’s going to be bright and dry today I have a wash load on ready to hang out otherwise just housework and a dog walk later. Hopefully strictly will have improved this wee I’m a big fan but wasn’t fussed last week to much faffing about. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

GERS the hit and miss delivery service of today seems to get worse by the day. The only delivery person I can rely on here is the Evri driver and yet they get diabolical reviews elsewhere! Their smaller parcels are delivered by a lady who lives in the village and she always delivers in the time slot I have been given. Why can't the other companies/drivers be so efficient! I got a text the other week from a driver informing me my parcel had been delivered, with a photo showing it laying on the front steps Well it looked like my step but it wasn't. About 3 days later a nice chap appeared with it after finding it on his step after a weekend away. Good job it wasn't anything edible!

Bright and sunny here again I have the wm on and will hang it out shortly when it’s finished.
Dinner tonight will be leek and potato soup with some crusty bread and butter, I will do a pudding too maybe a crumble and custard, dd is working late so will eat at work.
We have had to order a new shower as ours has been failing for a while and it now just a trickle, we have tried descaling it but it made little difference, OH thinks it’s the inside of the valve that is furred up but you can’t get to it, anyway we ordered it yesterday and it’s due for delivery today by DPD much better service than Royal mail, we are getting about one mail delivery a week now they seem to save the letters up and deliver a batch at a time 🙄
Chrisca enjoy beautiful Venice pop into a co-op while you are there, honestly they are amazing shops - like a really good deli here!
Have good days all and take care xx

Just popping back to say @Gers I had post the other day and they were all dated 4 weeks earlier. The price of stamps keeps going up and the service keeps getting worse!!!
@RedRuby1231 thanks for that, I'll keep an eye out for it

Hi everyone,
I lost the last two days to a migraine, the worst I've had for ages. I'm still feeling a bit off but better.
On Wednesday the freezer decided to stop working (only just over two years old). Luckily we'd put the old one in the utility room and that had most of the meat and fish in it. We managed to cram as much as possible in it and only had to bin a few low value items. The engineer said it was a blockage and would need a re-gas but Steve shoogled it about and it has stared working. I don't really trust it though so I'm not putting much in it because we're off to see L, B and the children again at the end of next week.
TA, my lumpectomy scar is so unnoticeable I have to tell the mammogram techs about it. I didn't use anything on it but I did pay for an effleurage massage to get rid of lymphoedema ( it gave me horrible orange peel skin).
Gers etc all, post and deliveries are terrible now. We get post about once a week and it's obviously been saved up.
