battery only tariff
I am installing batteries so that I can take advantage of off-peak electricity, yet I am becoming very frustrated as most cheap off peak rates insist on me having an EV and/or a solar array.
Anyone got any suggestions? I don't want a car, and am not keen on installing solar just yet.

The obvious choice would seem to be Economy 7. Every supplier has an E7 tariff and, provided you have a working smart meter, switching is straightforward.
But don't rule out EV tariffs. Some suppliers don't require you to actually own an EV.

I am running at Ecoflow stream pro 2kwh battery with the E-ON Next Smart Saver Fixed. Saving around £3.50 a week. You can pick them up on ebay refurbished by ecoflow for around £700, but I got £75 discount using an ebay voucher. You do need a power meter costing £85 also. So looking like a 3-4 year pay back depending on how prices go.
