We usually go late October, the weather is still nice and there are no queues in disney. Going in Feb this year but not sure about the weather, keeping everything crossed that it will be warm. I couldn't imagine going in July/August, it would be packed and very stressful with 2 kids!
  • we went in feb a few years ago but we managed to go when they had the coldest feb ever!we did need jeans and jumpers but the second week we were in shorts tshirts etc. but on the upside everything else was brilliant as no queues anywhere cheaper park tickets etc.
we also have been in the summer and then in october and i would def go either feb or october again. weather tends to be pretty good at those times of year not as hot as summer but then you dont get the rain like they do in summer.
my advice is pack a couple of jumpers and jeans just incase!
  • Depends on what you mean as summer, late May/early June is nice and hot and pre school holidays for both US and UK.

We have been in June, August and September and went in April last year was strangely supprised as the parks were just as busy as as they have been at other times of the year.

Have a check out for when the American public holidays are one year we went and struggled to find a hotel as it was a holiday weekend.

My tip and other may not agree, get the parks out of the way and then get out of Orlando as quickly as possible. There are so many other places to visit and see.
  • We'd also been in October (around our 1/2 term) and the weather was just right. I'd definately go again around this time. It was nice and warm (shorts and t-shirt weather with cooler evenings). I've also been in June when it was unbearably hot queuing for the rides (queues were quite long even though it was before UK school holidays - I guess US holidays start earlier?). My uncle took his family in Feb and it was a bit chilly.

Americans regard Florida as mainly a winter destination, so you can at least partly disregard their school holidays and just take account of ours.
  • First visited in July several years ago and it was all really busy - there were loads of Brazilian kids every where.
    Been in June - busy
April - busy but weather nice it wasn't too humid
October - 2007 - busy and they were having a heat wave and have never seen so many British people over there it must be something to do with the good exchange rate
February - busy and cold on some days - lots of Canadians
It doesn't seem to matter when you go now it is busy - I agree with eslick get the parks over with and get out of Orlando, there is so much to see and do. The traffice in the Orlando/Kissimmee area is awful too, it's a good job they have point and steer cars so you don't have to concentrate on gear changing with the gear stick on the wrong side of the car.
  • avoid spring break (dates vary) this seems to be the time when all the teenagers arrive in florida orlando and beach areas to have a good party time. makes it very busy and noisey.
