Morning all
Dry and bright here but quite chilly, the afternoons have been very warm though yesterday got up to 25 deg not bad for September!
I’m going to mums for an hour this morning she had her shopping being delivered so I will put that away I also need to take some photos for the booklet I am putting together for the carers just to explain how to do everything and where things are.
I’ve got a lot of admin type jobs to do after I have let things slip a bit while looking after mum but need to get on them now, I also need to do an online food shop either collection or delivery.
Dinner tonight is shepherds pie I will make the dogs one too as a treat. We have some green beans and broccoli to go with it was well.

DP1 I love a Christmas market, OH and I are hoping to go to Budapest for a few days in December, they also have the markets 😬
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone
I was out early this morning as I had an appointment for a blood test and my asthma check up and then went for my shopping, it was pouring when I went out but just drizzling now. I'll go into town after lunch, I need some toiletries, as does mam and then I'll get the bus down to the care home.
I went up to our community larder after work yesterday, I couldn't really be bothered but was glad I went as I got some lovely items, they had lots to choose from, and then a whole bag full of fruit and veg, including some items I could then cross off today's shopping list.
Little one has her casts off but still needs to wear splints at night, she's not at school as her legs are sore today, I suppose they've been used to the support of the casts.
I'm another fan of my air fryer, I bought a small one at first which was too small for the frozen fish I like, so changed to a larger one with two baskets - I use it for all sorts and only really have my oven on for a pizza, macaroni cheese or a roast chicken.
Still got this shopping to put away, hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone,
Allie, try to take it easy. I injured my ankle last September falling down some stairs in Sainsbury's and it took months to recover properly.
Gers, we bought a combined microwave and air fryer because I didn't want another appliance out (I have the food processor, KitchenAid mixer and a toaster out already. I must admit I'm not totally convinced by it yet.
I've been to the hairdresser this morning and Steve has gone to collect our new car but will be a while because the dash cam from the old car is being fitted.
Have a good day.

Afternoon all, thanks for the start @Gers. It seems as if we're nearly all fans of air fryers! Mine is a small basic one and, as @TravellingAbuela said, it's fine for one person although I have been thinking of getting a bigger one with more functions.
@ScarletRibbons - Glad you managed to find a pair of black trousers. Like @IzzyBee, I'm a fan of Sainsburys clothing.
@Gers - I wonder what the 'major drama series' will turn out to be? Quite a lot of the outside locations for Frost were filmed around here many years ago, including a local street and shopping parade as well as the primary school my offspring went to. It was always fun spotting places.
After a dull and damp start, today's weather forecast is for sunny intervals, a gentle breeze and temperatures around 16 or 17 deg. A bit of a change from yesterday when it was just like a warm spring day. I even sat outside for a while - just a pity I'd put the garden chairs into storage! Rather than drag one out again, I got a cushion and sat on the doorstep.
In my determination to make my big SM shop at the beginning of the month last out until October, I'd started to run short of a few essentials so had to do a small top-up shop locally. I also returned a book to the Little Free Library and, although I still have a stash to read, came home with another four. They'll not go to waste once winter proper kicks in! My parcel arrived in the afternoon and I managed to get the flattened packaging in the recycling bin for today's collection. In the evening I watched the second programme in the latest of the 70 Up series - quite moving at the end.
As for today, I'm having a break from the curtain change over (my legs are complaining) but have the kitchen and hall floors earmarked for a mop this afternoon. Tea tonight is from the freezer - fishcakes, oven chips, peas and sweetcorn. For afters I've made some raspberry jelly with the addition of the last few red grapes.
Have a good day all, take care. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Another air fryer fan here - mine is like a mini oven with 3 shelves and I use it for almost everything except big batch cooking.

GERS I vaguely remember hearing something about an old Scottish drama, which was popular in its day, being brought back and filming shortly for a new series. I wonder if this is what is happening near you? I have The Monarch of the Glen in my mind but I may have made that up!

I don't know what it is and specifically haven't asked as I don't want to embarrass the lovely chap who lives in the big house. No doubt they have all been sworn to secrecy.
The day has turned lovely! I did my little bit of shopping and had lunch. Now I want to research blooming recipes. @snoozer - I gave away my Kitchen Aid mixer and food processor last year and have been really reluctant to buy an air fryer before caving. All because the one I bought isn't big, black and ugly. 😄
Gentle hugs to @Suffolksue.
