Ceramic tiles or vinyl?
How does the price of ceramic tiles compare to sheet vinyl? I'm guessing there's a bigger cost to fitting tiles.

Definitely more expensive to have tiles.

Generally tile is much more expensive thatn sheet vinyl but it all depends, compare the most basic earthenware tiles with the most premium sheet vinyl then the vinyl could be more expensive but tiles can go way above vinyl and especially if you arent limiting it to just ceramic tiles

Of course there is a wide variation in price for both, depending on the quality.
For sheet vinyl in particular you can buy it very cheap ( and thin ) from a carpet warehouse sort of place, or you can buy good branded stuff with a 10/15 year guarantee.
Popular nowadays are LVT ( luxury vinyl tiles) - probably a similar price to ceramic ones - especially as they need more fitting than the sheet vinyl.
