Morning all, thanks @Gers for starting us off.
After a misty start the sun is shining and it promises to be a beautiful autumn day with hardly any wind, no rain and temperatures up in the mid-20s. Yesterday wasn't too shabby either. About half of the leaves on the cherry blossom tree at the back of my house have now turned red, a sure sign of autumn's arrival.
I had a walk to the PO yesterday and finally paid in the loose change I'd bagged up. I had a look at their limited choice of calendars but none of them was what I was looking for. Then I tried the stationery shop next door but apparently their suppliers aren't doing them at all this year so the calendar hunt continues. On the way home I saw a good number of windfall crab apples and might have been tempted to collect some but they were much smaller than normal, victims I suppose of the heat and lack of rain. A less pleasant sight was a poor dead cat laid out on the grass verge. 😥
Back home I added my new credit card onto my bank's payments section (different banks) and removed the old one. I had tried last week but, for some reason, the system wasn't playing ball.
Today I'll continue with the curtain change over while I wait in for a parcel. I'll probably get just one room done since I'm cleaning the windows and frames as well - that and the fact that everything takes me longer these days! 😁 Tea tonight will be a mushroom omelette with salad, nice and easy.
@RedRuby1231 - Glad to hear your mum will be having three care visits each day. I hope she'll be happy with it and that it will make life a bit easier for you and your sister.
@AlwaysAllie - Good that your bruise is healing well, hopefully you'll soon be as good as new - but don't be overdoing things!
@Gers - I'm sure you'll master the air fryer and soon wonder why you didn't get one before now. Fingers crossed you get your hearing aid back quickly too.
@Chrisca50 - Wide trousers look ridiculous on me too - and any trousers are nearly always too long. Good job I can sew.
Have the best day you can, best wishes to anyone struggling right now. Take care. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
@dp1 - I was just reading about the Christmas markets in Nurenburg. It sounds really nice to me. Both of my sisters and I collect Christmas ornaments.
