Morning, thanks Gers.
It's a real autumn morning here, damp and dull.
I'm going out this morning, on a hunt for black trousers. I was going to go into Newcastle, but then thought I might go to a nearby shopping centre, It has the shops want, not as large as in Newcastle, but st

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers. Scarlet I hope you get your black trousers.
It's incredibly mild this morning but overcast, could go either way!
Nothing of note happened yesterday, forgot to put the dishwasher on but it's done this morning and emptied again.
Good to hear from you Mehefin, are the horses ok?
Hoping your DM is feeling better Ruby. Is your DD's moving in date soon?
Lots to do at work so had better get going. 6 boxes of 9 live house plants with ceramic pots turned up yesterday, some artificial ones were asked for so will see what my colleague has actually ordered!
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Good luck with the trouser hunt SCARLET. You'd think finding something as simple as a pair of black trousers was an easy job but it really is it!
Quickie from me as I have the hairdresser coming early doors and then to get ready to meet DF for lunch. We share the same hairdresser so if she is running late we'll have to review our meeting time of 12 noon.
I had a lovely afternoon with youngest DGD yesterday. And when she left she said is the same time next week ok so that'll be nice.
Have a good day folks if you can, take care all, be safe x

Mild but autumnal looking here too.
I managed an hour weeding yesterday, standing on one leg doing an area behind a wall so no bending or stretching. Bruise is halfway up the outside of my leg now. Not too much pain until the evening - it’s definitely healing more quickly than I initially thought.Might take Bdog a short stroll today, apparently careful exercise helps the blood flow to the ligaments which aids healing. Other than that I’ll be sewing and crafting - it has at least given me an opportunity to catch up with those things,
Best wishes to all those that have worries and illnesses to cope with

Dry and bright here and looks to be a nice day, yesterday was so warm like a summers day.
Mum seems to be doing a bit better she is able to get herself a cup of tea now which is an improvement, I heard yesterday that they are increasing the care visits to three a day from today so she will have a breakfast lunch and evening call, mum was not hugely pleased but I’ve told her it’s needs must as my sister and I can’t keep running up there every morning and evening, I keep saying to her that it’s better than being in a nursing home which she really doesn’t want to go to!
Still no news re dd’s move the solicitors are still waiting for paperwork it could be anytime really, we are lucky in that she is in no huge rush and we have some work to do on her house before she can move in, she is having wooden floor throughout downstairs which OH will fit for her so will need to do that and new skirting boards first.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Good luck finding black trousers @ScarletRibbons they seem to be the holy grail.
Glad your Mum will get more structured care @RedRuby1231 let’s hope she settles into it as it’s a lot for you and your sister to deal with xI am taking DDdad out today. Was going to another NT place but have a muzzy head so will stay local - lunch and a wander around an antiques centre instead. He will stay for dinner of pork chops.
Have a good day allCoxy

Morning again - I did a quick run to the GP surgery to leave my hearing aid which just stopped working yesterday. As luck has it there's an audiology tech there today doing a maintenance / service clinic so he agreed to have a look at it. He'll phone later when it's sorted.
Yesterday was a really miserable day, lots of that horrid heavy drizzle and grey skies. Today started well though it's not looking so good now though it's mild. When I drove home there was a very weak rainbow over the sea and big house. I have to go out later to post off my watch to my nephew, I indulged in the new new one as the heart stuff is so much better, he's buying it from me so all's not lost! Certainly the new one records heart data more often which is what I need. There was a bit of a faff setting up bank cards with one particular bank, I phoned the dedicated customer line for those over 60 years (really) and a very kind agent pushed the required button.
Then I did more self-indulging. I've been resisting buying into the rage of air-fryers, always insisting that they are both ugly and far too big. I caved when I saw the new one from Sme*, it's small enough but roomy and not at all ugly. It's not arriving until next week so I need to get myself up to date about using it. My induction hob has one cracked area which has affected two cooking parts so I had bought a single stand-alone one, this is the next step! Sourcing a replacing induction hob is rather difficult here and I don't know what model it is, nothing on it and I've long ago lost the manual.
That's great news about your beloved Mum's carers @RedRuby1231, they will make life so much easier for everyone and also ease your mind somewhat. My very crabby Dad started to refuse help until I threatened to call the police to kick his door down to let the nurses / doctor / carers in. That worked! I was living over 150 miles away so couldn't easily drive there each time he had a stubborn strop. I had to explain, more than once, that his refusal caused so much worry for me and that also seemed to help. I send you gentle hugs.
@TravellingAbuela - it's such a delight that your DGD still enjoy coming to visit you, such great relationships there. @camelot1001 - enjoy plant sorting! Keep healing @AlwaysAllie, and yes, blood flow helps to move the bruising away. Seeing how the rainbow colours appear and then disappear is always fascinating. @ScarletRibbons - I was checking my online M&S orders yesterday and found that I had ordered and returned eight pairs of trousers in the past six months, so I empathise with your search.
Must awa' - take care all. I hope that today is good.

Morning all
Feels very calm and warm out there which was nice while I've been weeding and pruning for a while after hanging out my washing.
Re trousers. Over the last few years the fashion has been very wide trousers and being just under 5 feet they do not suit me at all so I'm in a similar boat to you @ScarletRibbons good luck!
Have a good day all x

Morning everyone
It's a sunny start here, but windy again. Yesterday was lovely we were outside in the warm sunshine all afternoon at nursery. Afterwards I went over to my friends house for a cuppa and a catch up. Little one is at the hospital to get her casts off today, she will have to wear splints at night, I've no idea how long for. She is very excited to get them off as she wants to go swimming with school tomorrow, she has put up with them really well.
I booked flights last night to go and visit eldest daughter in Nuremberg at Christmas, she will come here for the weekend we break up from school to see granny and grandad then we will fly to Cologne together on the Monday, visit the markets and stay overnight before getting the train to Nuremberg. It will be the first time I've been away at Christmas and I'm really looking forward to it, but know that I will also feel guilty about leaving mam and dad.
TA was it still pasta bake for tea yesterday?
Redruby I'm pleased your mam has improved a little at home. My mam was very cross when we changed from two visits a day to three for my dad, mainly to make sure they both had some lunch. She would often give him a sandwich at 11am so she could say they'd already eaten!
I'd best get moving, somehow I've only got an hour before I go to work. Hope everyone has a good day x
