Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, I too thought you kept your bed linen outside!
Nice weather yesterday, lots of washing dried outside, lots of pots emptied in the greenhouse, soup made with veggies from the allotment and lots of potatoes dug up - most of them will be going into work with me to share.
A short week at work this week and next as it's September weekend coming up, I'm flying out on Thursday night to see DS1 in The Netherlands, really looking forward to it.
Hope everyone is well and had a good weekend. Take care. XX

Morning everyone,
Camelot, that’s nice to look forward to.
I have just realised that I forgot to post yesterday, I got distracted!
No plans for today. I will do some washing and general tidy up of the home after the weekend. This afternoon I will try and contact mum.
Dinner will be easy, chicken salad and jacket potatoes as I have quite a bit of lettuce and tomatoes to use up.
Take care all.

Morning again, it's fine here at the moment. Yesterday wasn't a bad day, but chilly.
I'd better clarify things about yesterday, I wasn't washing sheets and duvet covers in the backyard in containers, we were clearing summer bedding plants, lobelia, marigolds, cape daisies etc, from plant containers!
I'm making my usual Monday visit to an old friend nearby, then starting to prepare for our little holiday next week.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts those who aren't well, or have relatives who aren't well.
Take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It's an ever changing sky here this morning. Currently bright gold above the moor. No rain forecast though.
I managed to stick to my list yesterday in Sainsbobs but what a stressful shop it turned out to be. In their wisdom all the chiller aisles had changed around and it was like hunt the aisle you were looking for. Grr.
SCARLET if you find any black trousers can you let us know where you find them! I have been trying to find a new pair that suits for the last three winters with no luck.
With one thing and another scuppering my plans I should make an effort to tackle a few jobs this morning. Then youngest DGD has invited herself up for the afternoon as she has Mondays off from college. She will stay for tea and whilst DD has to refrain from driving her DP will call to take her to Gymnastics.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, walking wounded, worried or stressed. Take care all, be safe xx

morning everyone thanks for the start scarlet . I’m off out to meet my friend this morning we go for a walk and a coffee and a catch up I don’t know how far we will walk we usually do about 4 mile but I will see I’m still full of aches and pains although not as bad . I had a very productive morning yesterday made a big pan of tomato and red pepper soup a pan of leak and potato 3 shephards pies a joint of beef a load of washing washed and dried and Sunday lunch cooked hoovered through the house and charged everything I could think of all on my 2 hours of free electricity I had help hubby was my sous chef he was chopping and peeling all morning we never stopped anyway it’s filled a gap in the huge freezer I still don’t know if I’ve done the right thing buying that my DIL said we all know where to come if we need a free weeks holiday we will be well fed . Plenty of beef left over I’m sick of cooking tonight we have decided it’s beef and beetroot buns soup for lunch . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Looking bright and calm out there this morning
Popping to an outlet centre later to buy some new underwear in the Marks shop there. What an exciting day ahead!
No other plans but might go in the garden later to do some more weeding of stuff that has been popping up now we've had some rain over the last week or so. I find little and often out there works for me.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. The morning weather is miserable again, last night I was a bit chilly in bed so kept the electric blanket on for much longer than usual until I had warmed up properly. Maybe time for the woolly tights to make their annual appearance, I'm not going to light the stove yet even though it's back to being shiny.
I have no plans for today, I was expecting a delivery but now see that it's coming tomorrow. I keep forgetting that everything coming from DPD or Evri has to go to a local centre first and then out the next day (if lucky). There's still a missing order from Amazon and the Indian meals had to be sent out twice. The joys of the countryside!
Take care all, whatever the day brings I hope that it's good and that a lot of troubles can be resolved. My fingers are crossed. xx

thanks for the start ScarletRibbons
Another day of hobbling - probably did too much yesterday as my ankle was sore by evening. Made enchiladas which we disappointedly not very spicy, plus a load of lentil and veg soup which will do for dinner this evening.
I did walk up and down the steps where I fell cos I kept replaying the fall in my head - using them again seemed to have stopped that happeningNot much more to report - best wishes to all

Bright and sunny here but chilly this morning -still not cold enough to light the log burner but we are getting there, we have a really good stack of logs probably enough for two years, OH and I have been foraging all summer when we see fallen trees 😬 so we have a good load, some ready now and some still drying.
I’m off to mums this morning she had requested red pepper and lentil soup so I shall make that for her lunches for the week. I have got her another roast beef dinner to take for tonight, we got the beef in Waitrose and it was so tasty the best bit I have had for ages so will get that again.
Dinner for us tonight is leftover beef with mash and veg, there is also some cauli and broc cheese left so nice and easy.
I have put a wash on this morning and dd will hang it out as she is off today.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone, it's dull here though the sun is forecast to come out later, I hope so because I have washing to go out. The annoying wind has dropped so that's good. Mam and dad were happy to see little lad yesterday afternoon, he is fascinated by my dad and sits gazing up at him. DD and little one picked him up as soon as they got back from Edinburgh, theyd had a great day and little one said Annie was amazing. I was in the bath, shattered about 10 minutes after they left..I had a lovely day with him but find him very heavy…I bathed him in the kitchen sink rather than carry him upstairs again…he loved it!
I need to clean downstairs this morning, then have work later .I hope everyone has a good day x
