Fair enough, if you've already written it off in your head and are set on a new unit, then thats your call.
As for the above suggestion of putting the existing SSD(s) in an external caddy, they get hot and will throttle after a decent read/write session, so not always viable, depends on your usage.
Problem is as others have mentioned, Ai has screwed prices up, big style, so you really need to look at a budget, and decide what spec you actually need and just see whats out there.
