Smart Parking Charge Airport Pub, Manchester
Hi
On a visit to the Airport Pub near Manchester Airport. I paid for what I believed was 2 hours parking. However, it seems it was only 1 hour and have now received a parking charge. The machine had a delay when changing the time so it took a couple of attempts to get to 2 hours but I can only assume it changed again when I went to pay. I was wondering if I have grounds to appeal this? The letters don't directly fit my case so unsure if it'd be a waste of time.
I know a few people have been successful with smart parking on here but from a few years ago so just wanted to check. Any advice would be appreciated The charge is £60 if paid within 14 days but received the letter 8 days after the issue date.
Thanks in advance

All the help is on here, why would you pay a parking scammer when it is their equipment that is at fault, this happens a lot?
Is it this one:

A sc@m location, always has been, but the pub can get it cancelled for genuine customers, likely to be a machine fault anyway
Smart Parking recently dropped a court claim for that very location , as they tend to do, so
Complain about it to the pub or brewery, plan A
Appeal if you wish to, as keeper, plan B
Do not pay. !

Thanks for your message. Yes this is the one, I am struggling to find the original ticket (I know I have saved it) frustratingly but I noted the time discrepancy on the ticket when I returned to the car so feared I may get a letter. I will try the pub even without the ticket.

Interestingly they seem to have charged me £2.50 rather than £2.00 if I was only paying for 1 hour. If I was to appeal to Smart Parking how would I make the point about an error on the machine without identifying myself as the driver?

Appeal as keeper and as an occupant of the vehicle on that incident date ( you could have been present and paid for the ticket )
