Morning, thanks Gers. It's a dry start here, yesterday was ok but a bit cold.
It was nice to read Snoozer' s post yesterday, and see her family news.
I didn't go to the shopping centre yesterday, a friend popped in and we were talking, by the time she left, it was mid morning and I decided to do some jobs here. I'm now definitely going on Tuesday morning. We are going away on a coach tour for 4 days from 28th - 2nd and I would like new black trousers before then.
We started clearing the summer bedding from containers in the back yard, it's time it was done, they looked a bit bedraggled, and will continue tidying today. The front garden needs attention as well, as usual.
That's the main event today, tidying up outside.
Hope everyone has a good day today. Thinking of those with aches and pains (I'm including myself!) and those with poorly relatives. Take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off. It's a nice start here so far and the sun is just emerging from behind the the moors. Yesterday was hit and miss with light rain showers appearing on and off throughout the day.
I had a surprise invite out for tea yesterday! DS rang to see if I fancied going out for something to eat. Of course I said yes. His DP is away on a girlie break to the Canaries and I think he fancied a change from his own cooking. He booked us into a country pub I haven't been to in years. It looked exactly how I remembered it. I expected it to have been updated and spoiled so it was a pleasant surprise to find it still Olde Worlde.
This morning we are off to Sainsbobs, aiming for browsing time so that we are ready for the tills opening. I only have a shortish list but I seem to think I say that every week and then what happens?!
This afternoon is earmarked for watching last night's Strictly. It had already started when I got in and I kept half dozing during the rest of it so will watch it all this afternoon (and try to keep awake!)
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and the worried or stressed. Take care all, be safe x

Happy Sunday everyone
Still hobbling here, though the pain has eased - I’m getting some lovely colours of bruises all over my foot and ankle now though. Finished up having a nearly two hour nap yesterday then of course couldn’t get to sleep last night.
Today will likely be more pottering interspersed with ice packs. Patience is not my thing, nor is sitting down all day!
Take care all
AA

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Glad it’s only bruising @AlwaysAllie but try to rest as much as you can. I know it’s not easy for you x
Sounds like a nice time with DS @TravellingAbuela x
We were in London yesterday for a matinee theatre performance of Abigail’s Party. Excellent cast and just as cringy as the original 😱 DH and DD got a chippy tea but I resisted and had something from home.
Our neighbours (not nice ones) had a party last night and the music (drill and grime??) didn’t stop until well after 1am. I managed to drop off eventually. Yoga this morning to reset and relax hopefully, then DDad is with us for the day.
Good to hear news from @snoozer 👋
Have a good day allCoxy

Good morning
Bright and sunny, temperatures forecast to be less than yesterday, I put a long sleeved top on and had to change.
Actually watched a football match yesterday as like Chrisca it was a team I used to go and watch in the late 60s, funnily enough so did DH, although we didn't know each other then. Also watched Scrictly, hope the new presenters settle in once the nerves go.
Gammon for dinner, will do some roasties and cauliflower cheese. Other than that no plans, but I'm sure I'll find something to do.
Hugs to all with aches and pains, and sending love to those with parent worries. Have a good day all, take care.

Morning two. The sky is brightening up, hope it stays that way.
The Russell Howard show as brilliant, I enjoyed it enormously. Car got it's service so all's well with it. The drive home yesterday, via a wee shopping trip, was a bit scary as the wind was blowing so hard. Coming over the Rest and Be Thankful was the worst part, that and the episodes of driving rain. Our weather man said that we had a 'wind event' and he was right. This morning it's still very blowy.
Whilst I was away my lovely 'tooting' neighbour de-rusted my wood burner and sprayed the new paint on. I came home to find it alight, the final process to ensure the paint is set (I think). He sent me a text to say not to add any more wood…it was tempting though I resisted.
So lovely to see @snoozer posting and giving news about the family and hearing from @Coxy11 too. Not so good news from @RedRuby1231, I hope that things have improved, and well done for lodging a complaint. My beloved mum had a really great GP who even took time on her way home to pop in at least once a week when end of life was clear. A wee gently hug to @AlwaysAllie and her multi-coloured body.
Today will be slow. I have to go out to take away a smelly bin bag then will settle down to catch up on recorded programmes. I slogged my way through SCD yesterday, all a bit fluffy for me but nice to start off autumn. Some unknowns (to me) though they all seemed lovely, a couple of annoying ones but that's just me!
Lunch will be chicken tenders with salad. I hope that everyone is doing at least OK, hugs to all. xx

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you enjoyed the show.
Chatting to a friend sounds better than shopping Scarlet, hope you manage to get the trousers.
I had a lovely day in Glasgow visiting the Tenement House, really interesting to see how folk lived. After that we went for lunch, a lovely curry somewhere not too expensive. Once home I laid on the sofa and finished reading a book, didn't put the TV on at all. I don't like Strictly!
Good to hear from you Snoozer, glad the family are all well.
How nice to be taken out for a meal TA.
I've cleaned the bathrooms and put washing on, I think it should stay dry today. My cold seems to have re-surfaced so feeling a bit blocked up again. I think a visit to the allotment in the fresh air should help, there are more potatoes to dig up and probably a courgette or two!
Hope you are all well or feeling better, take care. XX

Shopping delivery arrived and put away. Done my 4k on my exercise bike while reading my book. I've found a new author of a series where a Detective goes from working in Bristol to the Yorkshire Dales and the descriptions of the area makes me want to go back again!
Shepherds pie for dinner and then settling down to footie, yes more footie again!
Have a good day all x

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but slightly chilly, I have a wash on the go and will hang it out soon.
I had the morning off of going to mums this morning, my sister did the morning and I will do the evening and settle her into bed etc.
I am cooking a beef joint today with roasties cauli and broc cheese and some runner beans and I will do my beloved Yorkshire’s 😀 I will do mum a dinner for tonight and one for tomorrow if there is enough to go round, I bought some beef broth to make the gravy with so should be extra tasty. I might send OH to the shop to get a pudding too.
We did through downstairs yesterday and will do upstairs today the bathroom needs a good clean and we need to hoover and dust everywhere.
Scarlet I too wondered why you had your duvets and sheets in containers in the garden 😂
Have good days all and take care xx
