Edf economy 7
Hi, electric only house, storage heaters, small solar and battery set up.
Edf e7 contract coming to and end which was c.12.5ppkwh night rate, with fixes coming in at 17-20% higher after the VAT reduction depending on a 12 or 24m fix.
Anyone in the same situation, and thinking of just not fixing and seeing what happens or otherwise?
Unsure as to the best course of action. We use next to no energy in the 6 summer months.

UW or Octopus Snug is probably your best bet for the cheapest night rate.

Do a comparison on say MSE cheap energy club.
UW used to have really cheap night rates - but higher day rates in at least some reqions - but some of their best deals at least used to need secondary contracts iirc (so mobile or broadband etc).
If your willing not to fix - and have a smets2 smart meter that communicates reliably - have a look at Octopus Snug - its 6 hrs min night + 1 hr afternoon boost rather than plane vanilla solid 7 hrs night E7 - but those on it - seem to be quite positive in their reports.
