GroupNexus - private car park
Hi all,
I’ve received a PCN for allegedly overstaying in a car park by 34 minutes.
The issue is that this car park has previously had problems with the exit cameras. On a number of occasions, after leaving the car park, the system would still show the vehicle as being parked there rather than having exited correctly.
I spoke to the gym, and they advised me to email cancellation@groupnexus.co.uk, explain that I was using the gym at the time, and ask for the PCN to be cancelled.
The issue is that I’m not the registered keeper of the vehicle.
Would it be better for the registered keeper to contact GroupNexus and request cancellation, even though their name won’t appear on the gym’s membership/database? Or should the registered keeper simply submit the blue template appeal?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

How did you receive a PCN if you are not the RK?

The RK received it and told me - it's in the RK name

Then the keeper should either
1 appeal it as keeper
Or
2 Dob in the driver
But check if is POFA2012 compliant first, plus the keeper should complain about it to the gym or landlord or landowner ( regardless of being a member or not. )

"I spoke to the gym, and they advised me to emailcancellation@groupnexus.co.uk, explain that I was using the gym at the time, and ask for the PCN to be cancelled."Hang on, only the gym can use that email address! Go back to the gym and remind them that is THEIR cancellation email as the client, and they must do it on behalf of patrons, not the motorist!
They obviously can otherwise they wouldn't know about that email address…
Is there not a screen to claim more time in the gym foyer?
If there is, please get a few damning photos of how unremarkable the tablet or monitor is. And whilst there, go outside and also take a picture of the entrance signs and how it looks on approach, AND a close up of one of the full t&cs signs within the car park, too.

I tried to speak to different people at the gym and they all said that's the email I should send it to. I tried sending an email but it seems like the email is wrong. I've now submitted the blue template as an appeal. Should I still complain to the gym in writing?

Send an email as if you were the gym! Set up a free email with a similar name.
Find their logo and use it as the footer or something.2 -
And where are the pictures I advised you to get, please?
