Tooting tfl PCN due to stopping on a red route

Hi all, thanks for any help in advance.

I was driving my sister in laws car and stopped in tooting. I read the sign and realised I could not park there so left. There was 5 of us in the car including my baby son who we needed to feed hence looking for a place to stop quickly.

She's been sent this PCN. Could I argue that I was only stopped but after reading the sign I left and so should not have to pay?

I've ordered the cd and got the footage. It's footage of about 1.5 minutes and shows me reversing into the spot. The whole footage does not show anyone getting out of the vehicle. There is a few seconds where the door on right back passenger is opened slightly but shuts again.

The cars still moving for around 30seconds of the 90seconds video (difficult to say as the camera zooms in as soon as I'm in the zone), with around a minute to put handbrake on etc and then read the sign - I'd say a minute is not a lot of time.

Nobody gets out of the car the whole video as well so can't argue I didn't move off as soon as the video ends, I would think

I'd say a minute is not a lot of time.

It is on a red lines route. Try the FTLA forum to see if there’s an ‘out’, but I’m not confident.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
