Dla and dro
hi!please could someone explain how DLA and the carer/disabled child element of universal credit work when applying for a dro?
I understand they are off set? But do I have to incorporate the expenses into my soa?
Also, I have a salary sacrifice car but this is needed for my job (community nurse), and also taking my son with autism to school etc. would this be a problem?

Basically you list the DLA as income, and put a similar amount in your expenditure, so they essentially cancel themselves out.
That`s it, simple as that.
DLA/PIP are specifically for health related costs, nothing else.
Limits on car values and not really negotiable, it must be £4000 or less.
