Waterproof flooring
Long story short - we had an extension built back in the spring with a bathroom and utility room.
It turns out the bath moved causing the seal to fail, and every time someone had a shower the water was going under the bath then running under the wall (the prat that tiled it didn't seal the bottom) then under all the vinyl in both rooms.
The plumber is coming to fix the bath and the sealant tomorrow and says he'll pay for the vinyl flooring as we had to rip it all up.
Now I'm scared that if we put more new vinyl down and we have a similar kind of leak in the future we'll be back to square one. I've never had a leak that caused so much damage before, I've normally found a leak before it spread too far.
Would LVT be the answer? Are they totally waterproof? I've had a quick scan of the internet and it seems to be about twice the price of the vinyl we had but I really don't want to go through all this again. 😪

LVT = Luxury Vinyl Tile
So is also vinyl - or more accurately is a product based on PVC.
Presumably you had continuous vinyl sheet?
Both are waterproof, but if they are not laid properly with a sealed edge, then both will have the same problem.
