Morning all
Now back from a weekend at Swanage Folk Festival and then out walking with friends today.
Am currently feeling a bit overwhelmed with a lot of things to do, plus I still have tendonitis in my left arm so will be taking a break from posting here for the time being.
I expect I'll still read along but wish you all well.

Morning all
Cooler today and the wind has got up but. not raining so washing will dry quickly
Sorry to hear about your mum @RedRuby1231 hope you hear some good news today. Take care x
I've been looking at a very full shoe rack upstairs for quite a while now but bit the bullet this morning and have tidied it up and have a couple of pairs to throw and a small bag of ones I can't wear anymore and will go to the CS because of these bunions that have appeared over the last year or so .
Nothing else planned so I'll wish you all a very good day x

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
@RedRuby1231 - I'm so sorry to hear your mum has had to go into hospital again and hope you get some good news from them today. x
@dp1 - Fingers crossed your social worker meeting today will prove useful.
Thanks @JIL for the tip about putting on duvet covers. I'll give that a try when the time comes. Mine's only a double but, being vertically challenged and having short arms, doesn't help! 😁 Thanks also to those mentioning that calendars are appearing in the shops; if I can get one now that will be something crossed off the Xmas prep list - not that it's such a big list these days. DS made a suggestion yesterday that we go out for a meal instead of having a C-dinner at home. I'm not against it but think we've probably left it a bit late to book anywhere so I've left it up to him to find somewhere.
After yesterday's beautiful weather we're back to changeable again; the overnight rain has gone and the sun is shining, albeit a bit watery, and it should stay dry until later in the afternoon with temperatures reaching around 17 deg.
I've nothing specific on today's agenda but feel I should make a start on changing over the summer curtains for winter ones so I can hang the ones I've taken down to dry outside before the weather changes. I know the winter ones are all clean and hopefully not too creased because I hate ironing; I'm thinking a hand-held steam cleaner could be a useful investment. Food-wise, yesterday's prawns turned into a risotto (very nice too) and for today's dinner I've raided the freezer for bacon chops and oven chips with either egg or peas & sweetcorn.
Take care all, have a good day. Hugs for anyone needing one. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
My the thread is busy this morning - so nice to see though sad news from Ruby. Seems so many of us are having elderley parent 'challenges'. I woke up with a feeling of dread, no reason, just overwhelmed sometimes.
Have managed a few jobs and going to take Bdog out for a decent walk and a change of scenery.
Take care all

Hello All
RRuby sorry to hear DM is in hospital hopefully they will find the reason for her being poorly and treat accordingly.
DP1 hope LO likes her new colour casts. Sorry to hear DM is still upset it is always so hard when our parents and our own roles change, but she is in a safe place now and that is the important thing.
Izzie enjoy your new chest freezer.
Gers well done on getting a replacement but not good that it broke on its first use.
YL hope DS finds somewhere for for Christmas lunch. Our DGD are with their Ddad this year so we will be 4 , DD her Ddad ( my ex DH)and my DH.
I'm still in London, went to hospital this morning with ex DH re his"C". They have opted for radiotherapy so we await further news as to when and where.
Going home tomorrow, will be nice to be home so much quieter than here even with my earplugs in !!
Have a good day hugs to all who need them.
